bonio is Stressed it seems.
All he has to do is open elevate.io in his web browser and get editing
All his fears will turn to excitement 😃 |

your "hope" flickers like a waving candle in the wind... 50k sign ups by year end |

Via the receiver? |
Perhaps a way of looking at elevate.io is like when an electricity supply was first made widely available. At first there were a few uses... boiling water, cooking a meal, a small electric fire. Then more uses were added such as lights (who uses gas for that today?), electric arc welding,... and the latest EVs. They are sill in the stage of making sure it works every time faultlessly across the range of what it does now. But months on the range will have grown and in three years i will be the application of choice. |

dont worry...the exit will come via Microsoft :-) |

there is no doubt a lot prepared already in terms of the paid launch .... you almost have to prepare for not only that but the months after it ....
I suspect a lot will happen all at once ...
Youri Hazanov input has yet to even be seen yet..... they are running on a small team with a small budget , so have to prepare more precisely ... not a case of just throwing millions at the product launch |

Using the likes of eva to compete with the likes of CapCut and YouCut etc is a whole different ball game and they would have had to develop that further with a much bigger team with a lot more money in a short period of time.... probably as a private company venture |
I'm guessing the numbers and as actual paying customers are far lower than hoped . Like any type of tech it's very quickly discarded and having to pay for something you can do for free with a little more effort will never win.this looks like another damp squib for this company and I was never a fan of this path . Looks like their last chance is going to flop and no more chances to reinvent itself as the cash will be gone . Slow and painful death from here imo |
Given there will be nothing this side of new year and everything needs to be tested prior to launch, I reckon at most they have mid Feb to get everything wrapped up for the launch version.
So about 8 weeks of working time.

..the elevate team is tiny... they are managing the very initial stages of growth development right now... you are expecting them to be running before they can walk in terms of open Communities .... steady on... |
TikTok is the business within which video editing takes place ....
Eva would compete with the likes of CapCut and YouCut ....
YouCut is as big as CapCut
and free of charge |
Pc,
The company set up a forum on Reddit. Here's the capcut version
reddit.com/r/CapCut/
We can make excuses and pretend but not sure what that achieves here.
Maybe a few more pis might get duped into investing based on lies but I'm hoping the truth will be enough to get traction for us all, especially once we go live but have to admit their strategy has me baffled. |
Fo any unfamiliar with eva, it was an app for editing videos on your phone and you could add music, effects, stickers, etc.
We're now developing a platform for creators with PCs even though the popular creators I see use their phones. My guess is that im doesn't want to admit that his vision for the company was a complete failure. Anyway tiktok, soon it'll be Q1 of 2025. |

up until now the company has wanted all feedback and questions to be totally aimed internally ... they don't want an external forum ...just yet... that will come..in time
Any Reddit forum now would just be about asking for Freebies and more razzamatazz features seen elsewhere ...zzzzzzzzzzz
" There's no community"
oh,there is...you just dont know of it.... it started on Day 1 with the group giving initial feedback and has carried on since.... it is all internally based though and size managed at this stage |

It just works
That is the ultimate goal |
Product led growth
Sumit and team absolutely know what is needed in the product probably more than many of the users.
Data can look at how and when the product is used which is helpful in fine tuning performance and usability.
The great advantage of Cloud software is that it can evolve organically without having to launch a new product. Every time you log in it’s the latest update
I don’t see any risk in not making a product that users want. |
But that doesn’t mean they don’t benefit. |
Potential customer (for company) might care about patents etc, but I wouldn't think potential customers (40,000) really care one way or another. |
Pokerchips2 I understand your point, but I would suggest that without a patent protected innovative product there is nothing for a potential customer to be interested in. So the two are intimately connected, and both are vital for commercial success just like the beginning and end of a journey. |
The biggest issue isnt really the software itself....it is more..the potential customer....
What are the 40,000 who may have tried elevate telling Elevate about who they are and what they want.... ?
How clear is Elevate in terms of who they are aiming at and where ?
The marketing data is probably the most important aspect right now...not the software itself |
It strikes me that, if you are a first mover, and feel you can see the future evolution of the marketplace, you may be too early for immediate commercial success. However, at such an early stage you have the best opportunity to do as Blackbird has done i.e. write totally original software to define your invention and ring fence it with patents! |
Cyber You are perhaps misunderstanding
SS Invented Cloud browser video editing 20 years ago
Market was not ready!
Broadcast enterprise will end up with a version of elevate that could easily win in that market as they embrace Creator economy tools. |
Interesting, yes there is always a risk of being too early when you're at the cutting edge. But does that apply to Bird? Non-professional video editing software has been widespread for quite a few years. It's true that the explosion in online video and Tiktok 'influencers' has only happened in the last 3 years or so - but I don't think Bird risk being too early. Maybe slightly too late I would say - witness Veed, Capcut etc. But obviously the major technological and usability advantages of Bird are what we're relying on disrupting the market. |
