But that doesn’t mean they don’t benefit. |
Potential customer (for company) might care about patents etc, but I wouldn't think potential customers (40,000) really care one way or another. |
Pokerchips2 I understand your point, but I would suggest that without a patent protected innovative product there is nothing for a potential customer to be interested in. So the two are intimately connected, and both are vital for commercial success just like the beginning and end of a journey. |
The biggest issue isnt really the software itself....it is more..the potential customer....
What are the 40,000 who may have tried elevate telling Elevate about who they are and what they want.... ?
How clear is Elevate in terms of who they are aiming at and where ?
The marketing data is probably the most important aspect right now...not the software itself |
It strikes me that, if you are a first mover, and feel you can see the future evolution of the marketplace, you may be too early for immediate commercial success. However, at such an early stage you have the best opportunity to do as Blackbird has done i.e. write totally original software to define your invention and ring fence it with patents! |
Cyber You are perhaps misunderstanding

Market was not ready!
Broadcast enterprise will end up with a version of elevate that could easily win in that market as they embrace Creator economy tools. |
Interesting, yes there is always a risk of being too early when you're at the cutting edge. But does that apply to Bird? Non-professional video editing software has been widespread for quite a few years. It's true that the explosion in online video and Tiktok 'influencers' has only happened in the last 3 years or so - but I don't think Bird risk being too early. Maybe slightly too late I would say - witness Veed, Capcut etc. But obviously the major technological and usability advantages of Bird are what we're relying on disrupting the market. |
NickB Without question they would identify with this. IMHO Firstly Enterprise which has proved more difficult than anticipated to take off within the marketplace, due to the various head winds. So, a second attempt with elevate.io into what should be a much more receptive marketplace, with hopefully the wind in it's sails. |
I wonder if this applies to Stephen, Blackbird + some investors

Tempting to make a list of fake things… :D |
The breach of support was fake.
Look and learn..

One good thing about the share price drop, if we ever get good news, the share price could rebound fast in percentage terms. |
Interesting Hair flick. Sounds like what Bird are doing?
If the paid launch in March (supported by big feature drops in advance) can just deliver even 1,000 or 2,000 paying users in a month say, I feel that the share price will undergo a massive re-rating. We only need approx 10,000 paid users to break even.
Meanwhile the illiquidity here is very frustrating :-/ |
What's our "Irish Massive" when it's at home? |
Away from the trades and looking more at the infrastructure side, I found this article describing how Snapchat scaled up their model on AWS from startup to handling 5.4 billion snaps daily an intriguing read. |
@NickB
Those 2 x 200 trades posted SINT which will be from our "Irish Massive"

I think most of us long term holders already have enough to make a huge difference in our lives.
Should I buy more?
I have enough. But...
I think all PI's need a bit more wooosh and a little less gunk..
I personally think it will be a fun ride into The New Year.
No advice etc.

Possibly. It's as clear as mud. |
LOL
Who is lead MM? In your opinion then.?
This is the free speak BB but please respect all views.

400k BUY split between 2 MM’s then? (MM price)
Probably makes more sense if there is a big seller |
Impossible Nick IMO. At the timestamp selling pretty much any amount was 4.8p, never mind 400k. |
400k sell but split between 2 MM’s ?? |
The fairly low volume today (especially if you ignore the 2x200k) suggests to me that there is no leak of bad news?
At this point, with the company seemingly progressing towards paid launch in 3 months or so, I'm not sure what bad news there would be. The only thing I can think is a placing to pay for a major marketing campaign. Although we've been told that they have enough money for the next 6 months or so, perhaps they want to start blitzing and signing up say 250k or 500k free users starting in January, and pay some upfront fees to influencers etc? I've got no idea how much that would all cost. They would need to publish a big feature update in advance of such a campaign IMO.
Alternatively as mentioned it could be Miton looking to get out to fund redemptions. At the last RNS in June they still had 57M shares, they may have placed the lot with a broker and told them to sell in blocks before 31 Dec, and then not declared as the order is still being worked?
It could even just be a large PI or that other fund 'Diverse Opportunities' which RNSed in June that they had reduced? BIRD is quite illiquid so dumping or buying a few million has an outsize impact on the share price
Just some thoughts anyway. No advice intended etc. |
