bonio
From a tech perspective and editing perspective The $billion version is already on show and you can test it out
If you can’t edit a compelling story in elevate now a few bells won’t make any difference.
And if you are working at big tech checking elevate out and you understand video editing technology your mind should be blown away by it as it is.
Investors just don’t seem to be able to grasp what has been achieved because they have no knowledge of the history of editing solutions the inflection points in platform changes brought about by technology breakthroughs
elevate is a breakthrough landmark product that you are getting a sneak peek at. |
How about this thought, we have a group of big boys interested in buying us and elevate.io is part of the evidence for them to do the due diligence, such as the stress statistics going from 800 to 40000 users.
And maybe the value of Blackbird will come out in an open auction.
Just dreaming, the above scenario would take us towards £60 rather than the £6 per share which is my target. I have always worked on the assumption that Blackbird have someone lined up. For some reason I'm no longer sure that is the case, I mean why would you tie your hands and cut out other approaches?
Who will make the first bid? |
Has anyone used CREE8 ? They bought BeBop back in April and is quite a comprehensive virtual system
- gives good information on how much storage different video formats and sizes use |
Given in over a couple of years we got to where we are with the released version, including coming up for 9 months post general release.
There seems a lot of hope that somehow behind the curtain there is a bells and whistles version packed with stuff already done that is materially different to where we are. |
NickB I use the news service on YouTube because it usually has a wider international coverage. I think the Adobe adverts started appearing a couple of weeks ago and I have never seen them in the many years before. As experience has taught me that coincidences are rare in the business world I wondered what triggered it.
mcsean2164 Obviously some of the benefits of using elevate.io have to be shown but I think the more innovative and jaw dropping features should be reserved for paying versions release day. Your view on this will be influenced by how you think any competitors are likely to react... and the important ones have very deep pockets. |
Why would elevate.io show it's hand before it has to?
I don't know how to answer that. We're in early access (showing our hand) which is common approach for software companies and shows our hand. Do you mean turn on payments and then show there is no market for elevate, showing that hand?
Adobe seems to be putting out a lot of adverts for its products on YouTube.
You're in the algorithm 👩8187;
To summarize, 40k registrations.
We cannot give away the product. Just put in some transitions and subtitles like capcut and it might be sellable. Maybe showing our hand is adding a few simple transitions and effects? |
Profiling you for video editing perhaps |

It’s easy for me to put out ideas here but the company has to be more professional and guarded in what it talks about
I’m sure all the good ideas (if any) I have had they have already got it covered and then some.
They know what they are doing but the opportunity is so great it needs very careful navigation by Ian and Sumit to get to a great destination. |
They would presumably be very well placed and experienced to carry out an evaluation of our offering. |
"Adobe have Scenery." adobe hiring a crop of scenery developers who had not succeeded in building a viable web based video editor, to build adobe a web based video editor, feels like a boon for bb. |
totally agree chriscallen ... i think we are keeping things close, and for sure the strategy on launch is going to be good i think, hopefully adventurous! [although not as adventurous as jaguar] |
Why would elevate.io show it's hand before it has to? Better to keep potential competitors off balance and cut the time they have available to respond effectively. |
Hopefully there will be a big unveiling at paid launch - otherwise they best start chatting the broker. |
Nick, your enthusiasm and ideas are surely appreciated all of us here. But why are you having to come up with suggestions? My question is what are all the 'brilliant' appointments of the last year or so bringing to the party, and where is the evidence of their value. Time is passing by quickly and the one thing you don't have in the tech world, is lots of time. |
I think a good marketing strategy would be to somehow reach out to Canva users a great target group. |
Great examples why companies need internal comms videos.
It’s not new but is really ramping up now.
A similar onboarding use case is in Education and Schools
A number of schools are making videos about the school and its culture to help onboard new students
Every School needs elevate and Canva Every business also!
The more that embrace it the more pressure is on the laggards. |

come on then guys, own up
who made the £ 666 purchase? |
Didn't we discount Veed as a competitor some time ago? I can't remember why? |
Cc,
Veed are cloud native too
The patents are for a codec for people with slow broadband and some other features. If veed can be veed without paying a license....
No need for misinformation. |
Twelve Labs have just had an upgrade as well. Seems they like us are progressing along nicely. |
"Is Blackbird Disruptive technology?"
Reasonable question.
It allows for full video editing in the cloud via a browser at hyper scale. Something, it seems, that no-one has managed to achieve.
It's a big advance, but it's still just plain old video editing for the masses, so I suppose it doesn't quite qualify for 'disruptive'. |
