The only piece of the jigsaw left is paying customers.
Bring on Q1 '25 |
It looked like PR Spin from Scenery
The merger was a few of them getting jobs with another company probably in the Ai video bubble imho
Hey maybe they can make a plug-in for elevate 😀
I see no competitors in the Cloud video editing space that we are going after, clear road ahead.
I wonder them testing elevate made them re evaluate their future?
We won the tech battle but don’t tell the stock market |
Yawn.
100k RNS please |
Merger is overstating it.
You don't basically close down with a merger.
A rescue on the cheap with a view to them might being worth something to a third party is a better representation. |
They raised a lot of money a couple of years ago. However, the precipitate nature of their closing would suggest they have cash problems. |
To be clear, I was thinking negative for them, positive for us. |
There is an Ai company called Neonify, which is currently approaching investors with an EIS opportunity. https://neonify.ai/Claiming to be the new standard of content creation however appear to be solely AI content.Anyone come across them? |
I would love to know who Scenery have merged with. |
JV.
It’s not negative, it’s positive.
It means there is demand for a cloud based video editor in a browser.
Someone might now want to compete with Scenery and whoever they have joined forces with, and decide to buy Blackbird.
Fingers crossed share price is a lot higher if that happens. |
John They are closing down their service
It sounds like they are pivoting away from video editing towards AI tools with a partner and so back in development phase (my speculation)
I would also speculate they have checked out elevate
Sequence have been stuck in alpha for over a year and have stepped back |
If Scenery is ‘joining forces with a large platform’ why should we interpret that as a negative? |
Hornblower
I’m confident that our platform works in a very different way to the others!
SS in many presentations said it will scale and others will have problems
SS or the company are the people to ask
I have noticed a performance bump up since we have more subscribers.
What’s going on has been no surprise
Scenery withdrawal and Sequence stuck in alpha and realising it’s very hard to deliver a service.
Both products had plenty of ‘features̵7;
Imho they developed their products all wrong going for flash rather than core foundations that can then be built on and that is Blackbirds massive 20 year advantage compared to these 3 year old startups with no experience building something that’s Very difficult.
So I trust SS and it makes sense |
HB.
How’s the chart?
When we going to be back in double figures? |
NickB, How confidant are you that e.io won't have the scaling problems that others seem to have? If we are, say, twice as efficient as the competition, does that mean we could cope with double the number of users? |
So, a natural growth strategy for those moving through the different payment tiers as their creative profile changes. |
We have plenty to aim at. * Hobbyist: Creates purely for fun and self-expression. Shares content infrequently and invests minimal resources. * Casual Creator: Starts to share more widely and enjoys connecting with a small audience. Consistency is improving. * Serious Hobbyist: Invests more time and effort to improve skills and content quality. Begins to consider audience growth. * Emerging Prosumer: Actively works to build an audience and explores monetization strategies. Invests in better equipment and software. * Prosumer: Creates professional-quality content with a focus on audience growth and generating sustainable income.Arguably, Elevate would interest all 5 groups, in my opinion. The tiered options will have something for everyone. I appreciate our initial TM, which is a Prosumer but for me, it's endless. This will be huge for organisations as well in terms of creating engaging mandatory training, which constantly needs updating to stay in line with compliance. |
Looking at that Quadrant slide in the investor presentation It’s interesting that we now actually have zero competition in real Cloud video editing and at scale nothing comes close.
Clear road ahead
Do your own competitors analysis of course |
Ha Ha you know what I mean. |
