It's Adobe who have taken Scenery on board. On LinkedIn, you can search people based on Past Company. If you search for Scenery then you'll see around 10+, mainly engineers, have joined Adobe in Oct 24. |
The only piece of the jigsaw left is paying customers.

Merger is overstating it.
You don't basically close down with a merger.
A rescue on the cheap with a view to them might being worth something to a third party is a better representation. |
They raised a lot of money a couple of years ago.
However, the precipitate nature of their closing would suggest they have cash problems. |

It’s not negative, it’s positive.
It means there is demand for a cloud based video editor in a browser.
Someone might now want to compete with Scenery and whoever they have joined forces with, and decide to buy Blackbird.
Fingers crossed share price is a lot higher if that happens. |

They are closing down their service
It sounds like they are pivoting away from video editing towards AI tools with a partner and so back in development phase (my speculation)
I would also speculate they have checked out elevate
Sequence have been stuck in alpha for over a year and have stepped back |
If Scenery is ‘joining forces with a large platform’ why should we interpret that as a negative? |

I have noticed a performance bump up since we have more subscribers.
What’s going on has been no surprise
Scenery withdrawal and Sequence stuck in alpha and realising it’s very hard to deliver a service.
Both products had plenty of ‘features̵7;
Imho they developed their products all wrong going for flash rather than core foundations that can then be built on and that is Blackbirds massive 20 year advantage compared to these 3 year old startups with no experience building something that’s Very difficult.
So I trust SS and it makes sense |
