For now you can type text (font, size, colour, aligned etc.) to appear in your video. With the colour fill you can effectively create a background for it to sit on top of.
It's not the flashy subtitles you see in the Insta videos. I'm sure that type of thing will be down the line though. |

My tech guess is that Titling could be done in 2 ways
The simple way but with long term restrictions
The complex way being Titles are part of the plug-in architecture which in itself in sophisticated but opens up amazing creative possibilities long term.
So see the arrival of titles as meaning the plug-in architecture is somewhat done, and that’s a big deal.

I would suggest it is more time sensitive than anything else based on resources and priorities. I noticed Kell had text. I wonder if he used Elevate to create his Insta video. Maybe they want to demonstrate its use during this afternoons podcast? |
I guess I have to admit a degree of confusion as to why they don’t have titling, yet. Having offered a product in the professional market for so many years, can’t they just use existing code? If not, given that they’ve been working on the elevate product for almost 2 years, would one not expect this to have been one of the significant development items from the outset? Did I miss something? |
If this goes on to be a success it'll have to count as one of the most under the radar product launches ever.
