Anyone any clues as to the sudden sell off yesterday of this and WWH ? Company specific or just part of the crowd caught in yesterdays sell-off frenzy ? TIA

AstraZeneca to take over Alexion, which was BIOGs biggest holding on 31 Oct at 5.1% of the portfolio when Alexion’s share price was about $114. The cash and share deal is worth about $175 - a 45% premium on last quoted price.

Hoping to see discount eliminated soon if performance continues. Cant see biotech healthcare giving up much while covid continues.

Definitely the sector to be in - this or tech, and difference is profitability!

Discount seems far too large, my thinking is at somepoint investor desire for the fangs will weaken and biotechs with new new breakthroughs underpinned by ever increasing demand from ageing populations etc could easily take over. Not a bad area to have some exposure to regardless.

That's because IBT has a dividend yield of 4% and has outperformed its index. Seems like YTD BIOG is performing better, but need to sustain this to improve its long term performance.
