Joe, it will be if point '2' is broken by 2 pips, that's entry long...
Only thing to watch is that it doesn't turn into a pennant. If PA retraces from the upper TL, i would exit the trade. As it happens, the lower TL (joining point '1' and '2') is also the perfect angle for it to form a flag.

As always, after a big fall, use your fib lines in conjunction with another chart;
the Dax was leading the way this morning, hitting a key level and retracing a tad before the Euro... the clues are all there...

Well, its a bit messy, but we have a system trigger short. Target is 13,384, but it may have a tad further south in its sights.
Will now look for short set-ups on the smaller time frames to trade.

Bit disappointed that the above didn't reach its target. No damage done, as its only used to find set-ups on the smaller time scales in the right direction, as was the case in the earlier 15min chart...

Here we have further evidence on the developing 4hr pennant, looking for a trigger now. If activated we should see somewhere in the region of 13,300 in the coming week... Should be able to predict a target figure later. although as always, no trigger, no trade, in fact failure will act as a reversal sign, so large moves to come for the immediate future...

Unbelievable but true. Space parallex is widely acknowledged as one of the worst investors on the Advfn BB. He continues to support ATD as it goes down and down.
He lost more than 90% of his money as the shares collapsed, even claiming to buy more shares along the way.
Yet he continues to be rude to anyone who sees further problems ahead.
But he is worth monitoring because he is the best contrarian indicator on these boards. Watch what he claims to do and do the opposite.

What a mess this company is in. And today's announcement will not provide them with much help.

Remember that they already stated they had a chance to recover sunk costs on their "$25 million" contract. They now confirm what was already partially built into the price.

It is worth remembering that some of the $5.4 million was already realised in recent results. The actual amount still to be recovered is just a small portion of the $5.4 million figure.

Also worth remembering that US government contracts are notoriously low profit items for little chickens like ATD. Plus, the way the announcement is worded suggests that the added revenue is likely to be realised over a lengthy period of time. In other words, it will not enhance any semi-annual or annual financial report by very much.

My verdict is that this "major" announcement is like a pimple on an elephant's ass. The market's reaction to this so-called good news suggests widespread agreement.

Update on BioSeek Loan Notes

On 24 October 2011, the Company announced that it had received notices of default from Silicon Valley Bank ("SVB") and from the holders of the BioSeek loan notes and that in the case of the latter, the Company had 120 days to remedy the situation. The Company has now received further notice from the representative of the holders of the BioSeek loan notes to the effect that the conditions for the Company to avail itself of the 120 day cure period had not been met and that the amounts owing under the BioSeek notes are also payable on demand. The repayment rights of the holders of the BioSeek loan notes are subject to the rights of the Company's senior lender, SVB. The Company is in continuing discussions with its creditors to resolve the current default.

Yes joe, exactly! Technically, the 123 above is active. Its possible the market has created the pennant just for confusion. Unfortunately i need PA to travel a fair distance before getting further confirmation, so will concentrate on lower timescales for smaller trades. The activation of the 123 with a HH and subsequent HL afterwards; it gave the clues to a fantastic set-up long in the afternoon;

So you decide; hindsight? the work of a 6 year old? Or 1000's upon 1000's of hours of chart studying, combining to recognise a valid set-up. This was gaurantee'd points. All the analysis must add up to create a perfect storm of a trade. Not interested in placing a trade that 'might' work. Patience is key.
