joe, the system i follow has certain criteria leading up to a set-up... ok i'm not blagging about the system blah blah, but this was a perfect set-up which led me to have huge confidence in the outcome. I traded it for a heavy position.
The only thing you have to do, is allow for the spreads, so my target was just under 790...

Audi target tonight 10790...

-------------------------------------

Gonna share a little secret with you.

here's how i knew...

This is Entry, with the stop a point below the lowest pip of pullback. R:R is 1:1, so target from entry is the same distance (in this case 35 points), it was basically nailed on.

Here's the chart:-

Imagine that a flagline is like a bow and the PA is the arrow... It needs to drop far enough to create a decent TP total, (by designating the stop further away)
At the end of the flagline it will drop further, or faster than any other point of the flag, this is like drawing the bow back and then when it breaks, the arrow (PA) has momentum.

Adult debate eh? Some might call it none too subtle bashing.

>>buywell2 - interesting, but a very depressing thought.

If you (or the chart) are right then we should all sell up today and buy back at half the price later. Of course if we actually do that then it might make your chart self fulfilling.

Taking refuge in the fundamentals might be a usefulway to decide. If the company fundamentals look sensible then stick with it and the market will eventually catch up.

Some aspects of atd do look a bit shaky so its a difficult call but on balance I suspect your chart is a little too gloomy.

Incidentally, I am surprised you are still letting spaceparallax goad you. Some of us on here have used the filter button at the top of this page and now enjoy adult debate without having to read such carping from the sidelines.
good luck to all, pim

The share price red line is over 50% of the way down now

If the fall is the same timescale as the blue line

Then the chart says 5p will get hit ...... not me

In fact the blue line fall is LONGER than the chart predicted red

It will I would have thought take some very +ve news to turn the current downtrend around

So much info here. After noting the HD in the last chart, it did indeed move up, unfortunately there was no valid trigger on the 5min, however, a valid one followed on both the 10 and 15min; this should have given a greater target, alas the trade, despite making a slightly HH, soon failed.
This was a sign that the trend had changed, sure enough a new LL taking out the stop point, (notice this was also a backtest of the flagline), this followed a pullback to form a flagline short. The trigger worked and gave 15 points, before backtesting the line.
Again, another flag follows and again another backtest. Interesting to see how long this algo works for!!!

The actual truth of the matter is that I believe you when you say you talk straight and unambiguously.
But what you fail to understand is that someone can talk unambiguously yet still make a fool out of himself.
LOL!!!!!!

When I talk it's straight and unambiguous - not pretence of being an investor, whilst attempting solely to do the share down, like your colleagues.

Perfect, the 15min gives R:R of 1:1 and works! Looks like two visits to the trough is safe. The strength of yesterdays first long SUB, made the stop distance from the trigger bar a whopping 70 points, that target even takes us past the next trigger...
