Good morning bountyhunter. One to look at imv is OMG, which rather like BQE back a while is debt free, just issued a special divi and coming out of a big investment cycle with world leading products.

Price is good, but now I need to find another growth company with an undervalued share price. Perhaps ST will help again.

It's interesting to see that they have all moved in tandem recently. A share of future increased profits is well rewarded I expect in the hope that expectations are met, or exceeded going forward. I am sure BQE will exceed hisotical expectations but feel the share price has got ahead of its self a bit. The recent tip, and indeed the recent confirmation of that tip has, I think, pushed this too far and the TMF article airs on the side of caution. As you say you never know but I have a feeling that come end of year results at current levels there may be a correction. Now that's not to say this is not a good company - wished I had seen it early 2018 if not before!

I think BQE will beat expectatations too, however those expectations wereset months ago. I think the article was drawing attention to the need to be cautious as the share price has increased 60% since last reviewed by TMF site. In these situations the expected profit must now show a significant increase to warrent the current share price and therefore the TMF team state they frequently dissapoint as the increase does not match what has happened in the market.

I would have thought a period of consolidtion is due now. I will get a mouse as this tracker thing is driving me made and I keep ending up on porn sites!

Thank you bountyhunter. I just cannot see what will add significant turnover to justify current valuation. IC increased EPS to 12.5p so something needs to radically change -hence my thoughts of a new customer like the NHS when I first came across BQE. No doubt it's a well run company with no debt and medium term I can see a take up in its more specialised products but I think the share price has run away with itself. Saying that I will not try another short -learnt my lesson on that one.

Off to find your new thread now.

A quick look at the results shows that "most of its revenues are generated from overseas customers" and "Bioquell's products and services are sold by wholly-owned Bioquell organisations in the UK, USA, France, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, China and through a network of international distributors" so BQE is not too dependent on UK NHS or private hospitals fortunately. Also it's encouraging that "with respect to profitability, the Board believes that the Company will exceed current market expectations for profit for the full year" so that may be driving the share price growth right now. I'll need to look into the details further but no time right now unfortunately!
To find my FTSE thread just type FTSE into the EPIC code box at the top right of the page and you should find it (since no one is likely to check UKX).

I have sent you a PM bountyhunter because I was not sure if Money Week would be happy with me summarising their article to the whole world!

Interesting article from Investors Chronicle - strange how share tipsters regurgitate stuff. I noticed Frontier Tech Investor increased their up to purchase price to £5.50 last week because of the momentum.

My view is that a market cap of £128m cannot be supported with an expected profit of £3.5m - that's a whopping 36.5x especially because I think BQE will struggle to significantly increase their turnover. Their HPV product will not take off in the NHS even though it may be the gold standard. What they have sold to the NHS to date is pitiful - mainly because the NHS is bust. Why buy an expensive machine that pumps out bleach when good old elbow grease will do.

Their other products are very specialised to the extent I do not think it can significantly increase turnover in the short/medium term. Five years away when cancer research is at a different stage then perhaps unless the competition moves in. The share price has raced too far ahead of itself. Best of luck to all though. I was wrong with my small short but think my logic here is sound.

Looking back at the recent BQE results I am now thinking that the share price strength of late may be simply building on those "bug busting" results:
