21/9/2005 13:44 | orders being filled right on queue. | alpha534u
21/9/2005 12:46 | This price takes no account of the potential milestone payments....and whilst being some way off are worth a possible £100 million....yes £100 million!!!!!No wonder Galapagos paid £1.24 a share!....LOL at this rate I think that I'm going to become a Galapagos shareholder....the MMs are very amusing today.....:-))))) | alexacj
21/9/2005 12:44 | Galapagos on the euro exchange if i have the right ticker is up so these are now worth more than £1.24p !! Yes the offer is based on a price of 8.16 euro's now up 2.5% so now worth £1.27p ! ticker is BGLPG for your monitor. | alpha534u
21/9/2005 12:32 | I actually believe they are worth a lot more than that.....but as you say that level is at least guaranteed! WINS have just started their shaking games....but what I cannot understand in this situation is anyone at all falling for it.....everyone knows the MINIMUM value on the sale of this share is around £1.20...it's not the normal scenario where the MMs are the only buyers of shares......some people are amazing and obviously like to be parted from their cash!......:-))))) | alexacj
21/9/2005 11:36 | She's ticking up.... Like with the safeway bid - it took about 3 days to get to offer price and that even went past it by about 10p... More T's being reported as sells... mm's want some to panic and sell... then at some point they will shake a bit etc etc... have patience - the shares are worth 120p to 125p | crazi
21/9/2005 11:26 | Can't see how the MMs can win this unless a few brain dead investors sell out at 20% below a guaranteed offer price....then again maybe I'm missing something here along with all those other investors who are buying! | alexacj
21/9/2005 11:24 | MM's hate this situation as they battle to get stock to cover :)))) | crazi
21/9/2005 11:22 | There has just been a few VERY large buys....not surprising really.....you are buying into Galapagos at a 20+% discount to the market value!!!!!!!you don't get that sort of deal too often!! | alexacj
21/9/2005 11:14 | offer of 124p - give it a day or 2 and the price will be there... A lot of the reported T sells and normal sells are definitely BUYS being reported an hour late.....! So don't worry :) | crazi
21/9/2005 10:36 | Exactly....so IMHO you don't need to give them away to the MMs at 98p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | alexacj
21/9/2005 10:06 | Offer price £1.24p a share. | alpha534u
21/9/2005 09:26 | Thanks all | willybaby
21/9/2005 09:24 | Ok many thanks, have a good round, prefer shooting myself. (not as in shooting me you understand)!! LOL... | ratsnaks
21/9/2005 09:23 | Rats, sorry cannot keep you up to date - off to golf now. If you go to www.Euronext.com and search on galapagos you will see it is quoted on Brussels and Amsterdam - one is up and the other down at present. mj | mjcrockett
21/9/2005 09:04 | GUTTED.. was looking at just yesterday for a small punt.. well just goes to show ... | latifs100
21/9/2005 08:49 | So the answer is probably yes....you do potentially get a 20%(ish) profit...with all the obvious health warnings that the world may end before you can sell your GLPG shares! | alexacj
21/9/2005 08:47 | mjcrockett: Thanks for the updates on GLPG, will you be able to keep us updated? Thanks Rats. | ratsnaks
21/9/2005 08:44 | ....GLPG now recovering near to their opening price. | mjcrockett
21/9/2005 08:42 | Willybaby - seems a bargain doesn't it. I guess the market is pricing in the risk that something may go wrong and the shares drop back to around 60. Also, being an all share offer the Galapagos shares may fall - in fact (if I am looking at the right thing) GLPG on Euronext opened up down a little. MJ | mjcrockett
21/9/2005 08:39 | willy, depends what has happened to the Galapagos share price - if that has dropped 25% as a result of the bid, then you are payiung even money, also given the exchange rate, amybe you are paying more than the agreed offer ??? | sportbilly1976
21/9/2005 08:36 | Am I being stupid - but if you buy now for just under a £1 then in theory you get an instant 25% profit?? | willybaby
21/9/2005 08:34 | Well I bought in some months ago at c.108p thinking they were undervalued but got out with a 25% loss. Pity as I nearly bought back in yesterday. | jdhurry
21/9/2005 08:16 | alexacj, hi there: shows the virtues of patience! Well done! | jonwig
21/9/2005 08:13 | Well I bought into these months ago at 90p....and held.....and held.....and held!....not my best performing share but at least at £1.20 i will finally have made money! | alexacj |
