04/2/2020 15:41 | Exceptionally well researched post. Cyberpunk has not been on the BB radar, but that post changes that! Brands may need to get a little creative with their branding... You could completely rewrite the future of your brand. Imagine Skoda positioning to be a luxury car brand in Cyberpunk - a world where everyone loves driving Skodas... you could shift perceptions subtly by forward projecting where you want your brand/product to be. | ![]() moneygenxyz
04/2/2020 15:28 | JD has referred to delays outside their control with what is happening externally in the gaming space. One of the most anticipated games of 2020 is Cyberpunk 2077 which has had its release date delayed from April until September 2020. What may be an interesting aspect for us of Cyberpunk 2077 is that it is an open world (in a future city) filled with existing billboards and advertising spaces. It will also be releasing a multiplayer element that will need to be monetised. However, the last thing CD Projekt Red wants to do is ruin the immersive experience for the player that a whole art team have spent years creating by throwing random banner ads all over the place. But is there a right way to do this? Yump you say that brands don't care. I think the point being made is that they absolutely should care, especially if that is the only way to open the doors for genuine product/brand placements into high fidelity environments that will be viewed by millions. What new way will CD Projekt find to monetise Cyberpunk 2077 considering they have previously sworn off in-game transactions? We don't know, but for some reason, they are keeping it under wraps and will not go in to further details about this on an investors call. Adam Kiciński - President @ CD Projekt Red: "As far as the monetisation on the multiplayer for Cyberpunk is concerned, we believe right now it's definitely too early to share any details on that." "The project is in a relatively early stage. We keep experimenting — this is our first multiplayer game, and we check different options and possibilities, and it's definitely not the time to point you to a certain specific direction on that." 04/2/2020 15:26 | "Timing is everything." That's the comment that sticks out the most in JD's post. It doesn't fit within the semantics or post construct at all. Wonder what they are/have been waiting for? #LetsGo is a positive hashtag too which follows on from that. Is it finally time to get the show on the road? I discount his post comments now but worth watching what follows. | ![]() moneygenxyz

04/2/2020 14:24 | Thanks WSKR odd or not that in the creativepool article JD discusses esports rather than gaming and marketing. Perhaps bidstack are moving/growing/explo "James Draper, CEO, Bidstack “If there were any doubts remaining about the status of esports in mainstream culture, 2019 has quelled them. This year we witnessed the largest esports events to date, including the Fortnite World Cup which offered over $30 million in prize money, and ‘The International’ Dota 2, where a similarly high figure was awarded. The industry is estimated to have generated over $1 billion in revenue by the end of 2020, a 26.7% increase from 2018. There is no arguing that what was once a niche area is now a leading form of global entertainment." “Celebrities, musicians and sports stars all want a piece of the pie, and many are choosing to invest in the best teams. The most successful esports players are becoming superstars in their own right, attending movie premieres and guesting on talk shows. And as popularity continues to skyrocket, the opportunities for brands are boundless." “2020 will be the year major household brands enter the game as they aim to engage a younger audience. But they should be wary – esports fans don’t appreciate those who jump on the bandwagon solely for personal gain. Brands need to prove they genuinely care about the teams and events they sponsor to avoid any negative backlash and cement themselves in this new era of entertainment.” | ![]() global nomad

04/2/2020 13:37 | If the Dec M&A activity was that Bidstack was being acquired I?m not sure JD would have made such a casual statement in a podcast about it.Mike - 100% this was not the case. Would have been a pubguard type deal and couldn't get a valuation cause of falling share price. Would have had to dilute too much. .No way bids being acquired. If rumour had got out would have had positive effect on sp | ![]() girdz
04/2/2020 13:23 | Good point money. Bids cannot be acquired on information (contracts joint ventures and deals) the general market is not aware of for that would be tantamount to insider trading. What you're likely to get first is a trading update giving the reasons why a buyout would be in the interest of all stakeholders. Then an EGM. | ![]() pwhite73

04/2/2020 12:09 | Well we may as well have some fun with the little breadcrumb he has thrown out: Unity Legal team the only one that stands out to me. Ubisoft Singapore only have one game announced that doesn't look too relevant to Bidstacks platform. | ![]() wskr

04/2/2020 11:55 | While giving podcasts a re-listen to remind ourselves why we are here, why not listen to Derek Wise, someone who knows how to give a good clear interview, on his interactions with Bidstack and his thoughts about their future. To save time figuring it out again Derek starts speaking about his past history at 08:30 and about Bidstack at around 17:30. | ![]() wskr

04/2/2020 11:43 | The thing I don’t get with the former is - if that was the case, and we had deals in the pipeline, would the potential acquirer be given that information? Surely that’s similar to insider trading, only the acquirer gets to buy the whole company instead. | ![]() moneygenxyz
