I heard that in order to remain competitive, companies need to be willing to try new stuff. Some even have R&D departments to help with that.

Is that generic enough to be applied to BIDS and given a thumbs up ?

There was still 300k on the bid when it moved to 10. Still pretty hungry.

money,
The bid of 870,000 went when the RSP went 10 bid... Makes sense as they were unlikely to get stock below the bid.
Could they have been the buyer of 250k clips? Maybe but we will likely not know.

'But if companies wish to fully capitalise on the predicted growth this year then they must be willing to experiment with new and innovative channels – in flourishing sectors like gaming, mobile and digital audio – to help expand their reach,'

...a great piece of information and confirms what we expected.
Are we sitting on gold dust?

IPA Bellwether Report Q4 2019: Return to Marketing Budget Growth

by Mathew Broughton on 15th Jan 2020 in News

Report highlights

– Bullish expectations for marketing in 2020-2021 as a result of diminishing political and business uncertainties.
– Internet advertising again cited as the primary driver of overall growth in marketing spend, with budgets increasing by 7.9% in Q4 2019 alone.
– Own-company financial forecasts move into positive growth for the first time since Q3 2018.

Experiment in flourishing sectors

“With political uncertainty fading, at least temporarily, after the recent General Election, it is heartening to find that businesses are once again looking to invest and spend in advertising. But if companies wish to fully capitalise on the predicted growth this year then they must be willing to experiment with new and innovative channels – in flourishing sectors like gaming, mobile and digital audio – to help expand their reach, instead of simply relying on traditional strategies.

The bullish expectations of marketing budgets in Q1 will result in a little more freedom for those who wish to experiment creatively with their campaigns, helping to establish unique relationships between product and consumer. The ability for marketers to be flexible in their efforts is extremely important for the overall health of the digital advertising space and survival of media.”

Francesco Petruzzelli, chief technology officer, Bidstack

Thanks Zane - all opinions in that piece are useful.

Cute piece of analysis:

Since 2013 Aiden averaged 3.3 posts a day.... ??? Exponential growth - how do I invest?

IBG will go down as one of my best pile ins ever lol! The proceeds funded one of my companies.

Exactly - they seem to be getting their knickers in a twist.

I actually have a sports company who may be interested in Bids but I wouldn't expose them to it yet. It's unproven so I'll let the big guys test it first. If indeed there are any!

Idiots getting wound up simply because we post - never mind the content. If I do get a company signed up here I'll let you know how it goes.

Following AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner in 2018, it was announced in March 2019 that the Turner Broadcasting System would be dissolved, and its assets dispersed into Warner Bros. and two new units. Turner Sports will be combined with CNN and AT&T SportsNet into a new division known as WarnerMedia News & Sports, led by CNN president Jeff Zucker.[4]
