Just a note of caution, without news these rises have tended to be orchestrated short term traders who then sell for a quick buck.

Interesting find mlf51, especially the clickable adds technology that is mentioned within the write-up.Ads promoting MindMate, a service which helps young people in Leeds, will be displayed via clickable on-pitch ads during game simulations.The campaign is being geotargeted so that only players in Leeds will see the promotion, marking the first time that the NHS has used such tactics. When clicked on, the eight-second ads take players to a relevant part of the MindMate website.

Among the technologies under investigation in the region is real-time bidding; a system that powers a large chunk of programmatic digital advertising.

The complaint here is it breaches the bloc’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) because it’s inherently insecure to broadcast granular personal data to scores of entities involved in the bidding chain.

A recent event held by the UK’s data watchdog confirmed plenty of troubling findings. Google responded by removing some information from bid requests — though critics say it does not go far enough. Nothing short of removing personal data entirely will do in their view, which sums to ads that are contextually (not micro)targeted.



I am hoping that BIDS previous acquisition has concerns like this covered?

well we actually had a decent couple of hours here tonight from around 7.30 to 10 o'clock. Reminded me of the old days when it was actually a decent forum for discussion and Bids relevant information rather than a battlefield to avoid even bothering to view.

You're spot on. That's exactly how placings work.

Once authority has been granted at an AGM to raise say £6 million over the course of the year the brokers and nomads get to work straight away to raise the money. The brokers are forward selling shares all the time. How much they raise over any given period is dependent on the share price and the level of interest by mug PIs and also if an outside institution feels they can make money out mug PIs. That's what the death spiral companies are all about. Contrary to what most of you think companies don't sit down one day and decide we want to raise £700k for this or that acquisition. Fund raising is a non-stop 365 days a year rolling process lasting from AGM to AGM. Sometimes companies can't raise funds because of the lack of interest, a nomad resignation or the share price is below the nominal value.

What I suspect is happening here is that they have had to accelerate the fund raise due to the adverse publicity surrounding the company. This means a lowering of the share price to lock in existing share holders but it makes the price extremely attractive to those who still like BIDS and think its the next WPP. Issuing positive news helps the acceleration process because it brings in a flood of new buyers. This is why news came in straight after the revenue warning and why you should expect more positive news shortly. But don't be fooled by any of it.
