22/1/2014 07:54 | If something looks too good to be true, then it often is :-( but the shares could well be good value at this level. I will continue to hold. I think that they will have to sell the property to a local who knows people in high places. That's what happened with Toledo Mining in the Phillipines. | david77
17/1/2014 23:36 | If I was GF> I would check that all the permits / licences are now in place. Negotiate to buy BZT @ 25p Then regurgitate the unwanted assets into a shell on AIM. Their 20% stake does not help this bargain. | russman
17/1/2014 13:58 | getting very close to deadline.. my guess is they wont take the option, then buy the whole company a lot cheaper.. | currypasty
12/1/2014 09:38 | Mankayan is primarily a copper deposit (with gold credits)... That said, we'll see what happens. | king suarez
11/1/2014 16:52 | Yes it does seem cheaper for GF to buy the company. 83m shares - noting GF have a decent holding but would also get money back if the company returns cash to shareholders $63m to exercise option or c £38m which equates to c 40p/share. It really comes down to does GF believe in the project enough in the current environment. Positives the country is still of interest to them negatives timescale for permissions on their property next door, gold price | bageo
11/1/2014 16:42 | As I never intend this to be a long term investment I would settle for that price. | bigdazzler
11/1/2014 14:07 | Can't see the option being exercised with the price of gold where it is. I don't think they will walk away with a 21% shareholding So I think a negotiated bid between 24 and 28p is the most likely outcome. | jbarcroftr
11/1/2014 13:20 | koolio, I'm concerned she has turned out the lights and left the building never to return !!! | bigdazzler
10/1/2014 19:09 | Bigdazzler, Is the fat lady singing? | koolio
10/1/2014 17:01 | To be fair David77 by the way the price action is heading you might as well leave them in your boots as that looks about the only use for them to keep your feet warm in winter. I have a small holding and wish I d never dabbled in them. Mental note to myself for the foreseeable future leave miners alone unless I want to short them. | bigdazzler
31/12/2013 11:39 | Taken a few today - GL all. | philjeans
24/12/2013 11:45 | I've been slowly filling my boots with these so I hope that Gold Fields do something positive by the end of Jan. Good luck to all holders, and best wishes for Christmas and for the New Year. | david77
22/12/2013 23:24 | 2014 could see GOLD at $1000 Can't see this helping much | buywell2

09/12/2013 13:16 | News leak? | jakecook
09/12/2013 12:56 | bit of a bounce today.. don't forget if your looking at the trades/ mm's /price to take into consideration a lot of the volume goes through on ISDX exchange and so does not show on ADVFN monitor, trades pages etc unless you put in that code seperately | currypasty
28/11/2013 23:40 | buywell2 20 Aug'13 - 11:36 - 4612 of 4661 0 1 edit Don't know if you are ahead here Curry but I think it looks like this might have run it's course Depends upon VULPES propping it up like it has PRM and tried to with OXB | buywell2
27/11/2013 14:22 | in the words of the biggest druggie (apart from nigella- allegedly) is this the end, my friend, the end? | lfc4ever
21/11/2013 09:28 | I had some Mediwatch shares - there has been a takeover offer so I have sold my shares near to the offer price, and have been buying BZT @ 18.5p hoping for 30p or so in a couple of months time. It did seem too good to be true - and maybe it is :-( I tried to buy 40k then 25k then 15k and left those as limit buys but none of them got executed, so I bought 4 lots of 10k. | david77
20/11/2013 22:33 | This could be seen a positive (Goldfields planning to stay in the Philippines) or negative (much reduced spend). I wouldn't want to take this as an indication either way on the option. hxxp://www.overendst Growth and International Projects division break-up and associated expenditure significantly reduced Following the announcement on 22 August 2013 of the review of the Group's GIP division, which included all international growth as well as greenfields exploration projects, it was decided during the September 2013 quarter to break-up the GIP Division and significantly downscale all associated growth activities, and to relocate the remaining activities to the existing relevant regional structures. Greenfields exploration is being reduced from 16 projects around the world to a smaller nucleus of the most promising projects. All other greenfields exploration projects will either be relinquished or disposed of; Activities at the Far Southeast project in the Philippines have been limited to those associated with securing the FTAA and expenditure has been significantly reduced; | bageo

20/11/2013 10:00 | now normally this increase in 'bigger' trades would be a buy signal but with this share it is hard to call. thinking about it | tiger60
20/11/2013 09:38 | another large delayed trade, and another tick up.. is this the start of a run up? | currypasty |
