I would have thought that something as important as FDA approval would have had a much bigger effect on the price.

Well I'm still in here. The RNS shows it to be a good company; my only concern is Bangladesh politics.

Yes you can only gain if the share price goes up. I revised the figures FOR THE BEXIMCO PHARMACEUTICALS . the share price I quoted of 32 was for BEXIMCO whereas the Pharma is 55.80 BDT at close yesterday. Also if you take out the stock dividend as neutral the cash dividend is actually worth 1.8 per cent .which is very little.

4spiel - every year i point out that the stock dividend is a complete waste if time as you are no better off. You may have 5% more shares but there will be 5% more shares in the company, hence a complete waste of time.

The AGM statement of June 15 confirms cash dividend of 1 Bengali Taka per share that is 10 per cent of the NOMINAL share value. At current exchange rate of about 118 to £1 If this is the way they do it -translates to between 0.8 and 0.9 pence per GDR. This is approximately 4.5 per cent making a total including stock dividend of about 9.5 per cent for the last financial year.

Well is the cash dividend really 10 per cent. the stock dividend is perfectly clear 5 per cent. their announcement says the cash dividend will be 1 Bengali Taka per share. there was a cash dividend last year and in the 14 th July announcement they said the dividend was 10 per cent of the NOMINAL value of the share not the market value ! there are about 117 Bengali Takas to £1 sterling.

The AGM to approve the 10 Per cent cash dividend and 5 per cent stock dividend is held On June 13th. How many Pharmaceutical Companies pay annual dividend of 15 per cent . Maybe better hold than GSK !

Satisfactory set of results. 10 per cent cash dividend 5 per cent stock dividend. I used to slate this company but they are being reassuring with their continuation of cash dividend. Does fungibility matter that much. BANGLADESH is surrounded by India - it's India-it's quite amazing has intelligent well educated people. it's Moslem and has a lady Prime Minister. Costs very little to hold a few BXP. might not be so cheap forever !

The share price in Dhaka is down from 65 to 45 in the last few months which could be the reason. I still watch from the sidelines.

The lack of Fungibility with the Dhaka price will always be the problem here.

RNS out. Dividend held, NAV/share much the same as last year (56.87 vs 56.45 taka); eps 4.15 vs 4.01; net operating cash flow/share 6.03 vs 6.08.
