Posted at 13/2/2024 20:30 by 3800 I have just looked at my ii account and yesterday they have credited per share 2.54c that is in USD. With ii you have to convert forex yourself or leave it in USD if you wish. I have looked at last years CTC and it shows that 20% tax was deducted before the dividend was paid to me. I'm not sure if the tax was offset against UK tax or not it will be June before I see my accountant I will ask him then about this years and how it was treated last year. |
Posted at 13/2/2024 18:48 by jane deer I see that HL has booked the dividend now into my account. I had been on the look out for it but I only saw it today, but I can't rule out it was paid before. HL have booked it as of 8 February (so I guess they have back dated the dividend payment). I hold the shares in a taxable account (not SIPP nor ISA). The amount I received is 1.99p per share, while I see BoNY Mellon is saying they paid out 2.54p - implying a withholding tax of around 22%. Do others know is this the standard Banglasdeshi withholding tax rate and is this offsettable against UK tax? |

Posted at 08/1/2024 21:14 by elsa7878 Taka 3.5 per ordinary share/per global depository receipt held in respect of GDR holders will be paid to holders of ordinary shares/GDRs (who were on the register of shareholders'/GDR holders' as on the date of record, i.e. 13 November 2023) on or before 25 January 2024. The cash dividend will be paid after deduction of taxes as per Bangladesh Tax law. |
Posted at 22/12/2023 13:02 by greg the grinch The calc of impact is above my pay grade - but it all helps. My thoughts are international sales suffered due to coronavirus and the ability of salespeople to sell stuff face to face, that should start to make progress again plus they have an ever increasing number of drugs - that on top of pressure of health services to cut costs should see new international business coming to BXP. Taka seems to be stabilising, and weak which should help international sales. I think domestically, BXP will continue to edge out medicines that are made by foreign companies, which will help the foreign currency issues. Sittin and waiting. GLA |
Posted at 17/2/2023 07:24 by live ink RE: BXP dividendKurian, Vinu To: SIMON CAWKWELL cawkwell@btinternet. 16/02/23 19:38 1 Dear Mr. Cawkwell, Pardon me for the delay in the response. Please note that the DR payable date for the dividend has not yet been fixed due to the low liquidity ratio for the conversion of the local currency BDT into USD. Once all the dividend monies received by the Depositary in BDT are converted into USD, we will be able to set a DR payable date for the GDR holders. A final announcement will be issued at that time to the London Stock Exchange and all market participants confirming the DR payable date. Coul Dear Mr Kurian, I emailed you perhaps two weeks ago as to what has happened to my BXP dividend. You did not acknowledge receipt of this email. So I assumed that matters would very shortly be resolved. In the event nothing has happened. Could you please urgently enquire into this material matter which concerns my family's various accounts at Redmayne Bentley. Yours sincerely, Simon Cawkwell Note to BXP holders: this is a truly extraordinary state of affairs. If I understand Mr Kurian correctly he says that the BDT rate to USD is unfavourable for BXP to convert its local currency at this time. |
