An amazing company but it is a shame that they have not got someone competent enough to ensure that they can pay the dividend on time

I couldn't have put it better. I have other updates to read today and this I left until last. It's no wonder that Belvoir has an exclamation mark at the end of its name!

I still find it hard to not see as anything but cheap. So a very comfortable place in the portfolio.

"The Board is pleased to report that trading during the four months to 30 April 2021 was exceptionally strong and materially ahead of management's expectations, with substantial revenue growth across all three markets."

Indeed JD,

Not just ahead but ''significantly ahead''

'Consequently, the Board confirms that the Group is trading significantly ahead of mnagement's expectations for the year ending December 2021.'

@2wild I think a p/e of 20 in this market would be more applicable given what is very likely to be double digit growth and importantly strong cash generation. Also don't forget your p/e is priced based on historic earnings. For 2021 we have much less covid impact and also another £1m of earnings from latest acquisition.

OK maybe I was getting a bit carried away with "stonking" but I bought most of my holding at a little over £1.

I'd much rather they paid no divi and re-invested cash at 20% returns on my behalf. It's more tax efficient and will grow the business very rapidly.

loglorry1 - They did Not pay "! stonking dividend". They paid an unchanged interim and a slashed final partially deferred until June 21. Otherwise fabulous post.

At 210p they are on a PE ratio of 14.4 and yield 3.4% with the prospect of dividends and earnings growth going forward.

Quite how a company with 24 years of consecutive profit growth trades on a fPER of 12 in this market against these interest rates is beyond me really. Clearly not fully understood.

Webinar here shortly, could help: -

CFO and CEO will present.

The thing to focus on here is Belvoir's ability to generate cash and importantly re-deploy that cash at very large returns. They generated a load of cash this year, paid a stonking dividend AND bought new assets which will return 20% on their purchase price.

This is what drives growth long term.

Diluted earnings per share up 13.2% to 14.6p.
2020 final 3.8p + 3.4p interim = 7.2p Annual.
3.8 + 1.3p 2019 catch up, 5.1p ExD 22nd April paid 1st June.

Disappointed 2020 dividends only at 2018 levels. Although they have spent £4 Million on an acquisition this year and £2 Million last tear, so will forgive them.

Year-end cash increased noticeably to £5.9m (2019: £3.6m)

Net debt significantly reduced to £3.7m (2019: £6.9m) despite deploying £2.0m to acquire Lovelle

Progressive dividend policy reinstated with total dividend for the year of 7.2p (2019: 6.7p including the catch-up final dividend of 3.3p) and dividend cover of 2.1x

Another nice acquisition for BLV.

They have been so good at integrating these and the value in the price paid always seems extra-ordinary.

There was a touch of Berkshire Hathaway in the commentry from Nick Humphries: -

" I have known for some time that Belvoir would be the right home for the Nicholas Humphreys network. "

I suppose if you spend your life building a business which deals in providing homes for your customers, it might be natural that you want to find a good home for the business you have built?
