Great update with the cream on the cake being the EC deal with ICE although the potential annual value of that has not been indicated.

Trading Update: Beeks has delivered a record trading performance in the year, delivering growth on the prior year and in line with upwardly revised market expectations. The Group has exited the year with Annualised Committed Monthly Recurring Revenue of over £19.3m, growth of 40% on the prior year, providing a strong basis for further growth in FY23. The Group expects to release its audited final results for the 12 months ended 30 June 2022 in early October. ICE Global Network Inc named as first Exchange Cloud customer

Have I read this right? The owner of the New York Stock Exchange now has a multi year deal with exclusivity period on Exchange Cloud? This is big right?

They have only provided a year end trading up date once in the four years that they have been listed and that was in 2020 after the pandemic had taken effect. Final results are normally issued late August/early September and these are currently scheduled for next Wednesday, August 31st.

It is disappointing that a trading update has not been provided for end of year, as is common practise. I have to assume trading was in line as otherwise they would be withholding known information. Perhaps they were hoping to have been able to announce more contracts at the same time?

Took the opportunity to top-up this am. At 132p we're way below the 165p "significantly oversubscribed" fundraise and on the back of two significant product launches - Proximity Cloud (just after last Fin Year)and Exchange Cloud (13 June - so very recent). Both of these are described as 'transformative' and at too early a stage to have a visible impact on the reported results.

We're in a risk-off market and BKS share price has drifted in the absence of any supportive news. However, the obligation to report new business wins has now reduced due to their diminished significance - so this may explain the silence.

All will become clear in the next trading update that cannot be too far off. And we should at least learn, in the next few months, which Exchange is launching Exchange Cloud - albeit probably white labelled and under their own 'brand'. Let's keep our eyes open for that one.

Regards, Maddox

Beeks slipping back into bargain territory close to the lows of last August. Daily trading volumes have been below average for the past couple of months with no news since the positive interims/PC contract announcement in March, other than the recent launch of Exchange Cloud. Current price is now 20% below the "significantly oversubscribed" fundraising 3 months ago so it could potentially be a good entry point for new investors or for a top up by existing shareholders. No advice intended - DYOR !

Don't you ever look at the performance of the main markets as a backdrop to individual share price performance. The FTSE AIM All Share Index is down 25% this year because excess money is leaving the market. This is a volatile small cap high tech share with a jam tomorrow valuation and during March/April it vacillated nearly 40% between circa 130p and 210p. You are constantly seeking some reassurance here by asking questions that nobody can possibly answer. With interest rates rising you might be more comfortable investing in value shares and putting excess cash into a savings account.

Launch of Exchange Cloud

Beeks Financial Cloud Group plc is pleased to announce the launch of Exchange Cloud, an evolution of Proximity Cloud, explicitly designed for global financial exchanges and electronic communication networks (ECNs). Following the successful completion of the significantly oversubscribed fundraise in April 2022 to accelerate development of Beeks' offering, Exchange Cloud is now formally launched, with a major equities exchange already under contract to deploy later this year. Additional proof of concept implementations and discussions are underway with potential customers.

Gordon McArthur, CEO of Beeks Financial Cloud commented: "Our product development has always been driven by customer demand and we created Exchange Cloud specifically to meet the needs of top exchanges around the world. During early-stage Proximity Cloud discussions with some of the top ten financial exchanges in the world, we identified a demand for a secure, multi-client cloud environment which they could offer to their customers. We believe the end-user compute market within exchange data centres to be considerable, and there to be no comparable offering currently in the market. We are delighted by the early win of this top exchange, which will contribute towards underpinning our FY23 expectations, but more significantly we believe the opportunity for Exchange Cloud to be potentially transformative for our business."

Still a “Coffee Can” share IMO
Point to note is that Canaccord have a price target of £2.20 since 21st March and Stockopedia has BKS as a multibagger.

Well the shareprice has slipped by 11% from the most recent oversubscribed fundraising @165p just 4 weeks ago. It has also declined by nearly 30% from its ATH circa 7 weeks ago, prompted by a very upbeat set of interims circa 10 weeks ago. There has been no further newsflow since that recent placing. The above chart just illustrates the short term volatility of the shareprice here.

Over the past year Canaccord Genuity have increased their stake by 77% as the largest institutional shareholder with 15.4%. There have recently also been 3 interesting analyses posted here - see #250, #255 & #256 above - that make good bear and bull cases for this stock so you really have all of the relevant data upon which to make a further investment decision. Nobody can advise you - and certainly nobody knows - where any short term top or bottom may be here. Everyone has to make their own individual judgement call on entry, adding, reducing or exiting. I'm here for the long haul as I expect this company to be acquired at a premium in due course. You have to determine your own strategy.

"so well done Maynard, an excellent piece of work, even if I disagree with your conclusion."

Thanks Paul! Will be fascinating to see how Beeks evolves and how the economics of the business shape up during the next few years. If sales get to £125m within your 3-5 years, I suspect you will do extremely well and I will once again rue my lack of foresight!

Best regards, Maynard
