21/9/2005 09:36 | ooh, i do love it when they talk dirty! perhaps mr lee should take a look at this web site... | rambutan2
21/9/2005 09:03 | Yes its obvious, its a geological metric. The number of 25 year old field workers that can dance on the head of a pin. In BDI's case its a lot. | davidblack
21/9/2005 08:32 | They don't do themselves any favours, do they! Maybe we should suggest that they switch to English for future releases. My online translator doesn't seem to help either. "....the garnet-epidote skarn rocks is coincident with a copper in soils anomaly..." Wow! I should obviously buy more. Err, sell my shares, err. Anyone able to interpret? | pippin
21/9/2005 07:53 | Didn't have long to wait for news..... BDI Mining Corp's Managing Director and CEO, Mr Lee K. Spencer said: "The results confirm the high-grade gold values obtained at Wonai from surface sampling are not due to surface enrichment as the drill intercepts obtained are below the zone of oxidation. Structural analysis indicates the potential at Wonai for greater widths of similar tenor mineralisation in dilation zones along structure and at depth." The Wonai prospect is located 12 km southeast from the Kulumadau Trend, where BDI is currently exploring for bulk minable gold mineralisation. The Company's exploration objective at Wonai is to identify high-grade gold mineralisation to augment mineralisation mined at Kulumadau. The current drilling at Wonai is located on the Wonai Fault Zone, a 1 kilometre long structure which has sporadic pre-World War I surface workings along its entire length. At the southern end of this structure, a mapped zone of 200 metres by 1000 metres of garnet-epidote skarn rocks is coincident with a copper in soils anomaly and best trenching results by previous operators have returned 52 metres@ 0.79% Cu, 27 metres@ 0.44% Cu and 15 metres @ 0.79% Cu. The company considers that feeder structures to the skarn mineralisation associated with the Wonai Fault Zone are prime targets for high-grade gold and copper mineralisation. Drilling at Wonai is continuing to the south. Trenching is in progress at the Mweim Prospect located 2 km east of Wonai where detrital gold in pan concentrates have been traced to a zone of multiple quartz-pyrite-galena veins with values up to 7.9g/t Au at outcrop. The veins are up to 0.5 metres wide with seven to eight veins over a 30 metre width with a presently exposed strike length in excess of 120 metres. | wapit
21/9/2005 06:41 | Makes you wonder. On the diamond assets alone it seems the m/cap is $22/Crt (assuming circa 2m Crts) with the diamonds fetching high values ~$350. The Woodlark gold assets would appear in for free as well as the potential for finding the diamond source. I thought the conference gave the impression there was more than the outside chance of this, but am no expert. | adam
21/9/2005 02:18 | well i hope it doesnt! i suppose those who took the aim listing placing (11m at 14p) have doubled their money in a year, and then there was the 3m units at 45cents (in jan) who would also be in profit and would still keep their warrant. and then there's... in any case, at some stage the supply/demand will alter and this will fly. and it will feel sweet. | rambutan2
20/9/2005 18:43 | Woe is us, investing in such a bad stock, its producing $30,000 of cash a day in diamonds and gold to follow! Just what is the price of gold today? I think they put a few poor holders in that 30p placing. Once they are gone this one should fly, subject to a sniff of gold at Woodlark island between now and Christmas. I have a buy in at 27p but sadly it hasn't got there yet. | davidblack
20/9/2005 17:26 | cant see how can go wrong buying at todays prices. so did. seller/s will be finished - eventually! | rambutan2
20/9/2005 11:15 | we due a new resource statement for woodlark shortly - expect a nice increase on the last one, perhaps even to reach six figs?! | rambutan2
20/9/2005 08:31 | Morning and welcome Wapit, I don't think you'll regret buying some even if there is a little dip short term. If everything goes to plan then I'm sure we're in for a very big rise over the next 12 months. I feel sure this will be well over £1 from my calculations so far. | ged5
20/9/2005 08:07 | Morning Ged5, Did some research and like the company... The 1st trade is a buy and its mine...a gold mine...or diamond mine.. OT - ORM sold out too difficult to buy/sell then... VLK like you sold at 40p but keep a core holding.. | wapit
19/9/2005 20:06 | rambutan2, Just reading back through recent posts. Notice I repeated some of your comments including the point of the gold sale announcement. Sorry about that. | ged5
16/9/2005 16:08 | I hold a few of these. Looking good for the next move north. | out of my box
16/9/2005 14:32 | First reaction after listening to the whole presentation is that this is an extremely good company to have shares in. I noted half way through that there is to be a sale of gold "reasonably soon". This was after stating the next parcel of diamonds would be at the end of October. I also noted that although the graph for expected sales was rising he stated that the graph should be much steeper due to the finds of the last week. I suppose he is trying to impress and give all the good points but this company looks likely to give sufficient newsflow in the near future to put on a few 10's of pence on the share price Could do with that link in the header. Thanks again. Have a good weekend. | ged5
15/9/2005 14:37 | Thank you, I've just been watching the first part. Very interesting so far. | ged5
15/9/2005 14:15 | have you listened/watched the minesite presentation ged5? | rambutan2
15/9/2005 11:52 | I think maybe you've hit the nail on the head. Or perhaps others haven't worked out the figures. At the moment there is a lot of supposition which makes this a "maybe company". However with each new parcel this becomes less and less because we'll have the evidence. If they continue with this size of parcel (and at the moment that's the gamble)then rough figures would suggest a healthy income (about £8m) from Cempaka alone. I'm not sure on the margins here (I'm still going through previous results before possible further buying) but unless they are very low wouldn't BMG have a pe of less than 10? | ged5
15/9/2005 10:52 | which makes it near enough every other month? mr lee seemed v confident on both diamond and gold fronts. perhaps others think it all seems too good to be true! and then there's the seller to confirm their doubts? ho hummm. | rambutan2
15/9/2005 08:08 | Poor old BDI, down again, this must be a terrible stock. They have assets, are adding cash thru sales at $1m a month and the gold is the bigger story. Sell them down please I want to buy more sub 30p. Yes Rambuttan when I spoke to Lee at the presentation he was indicating the next sales would likely be around 21st Oct all being well. | davidblack
14/9/2005 00:19 | Ged5, Well the next tender is "next month", and as the last one was at the beginning of September, the answer is probably in the middle! ie around 6 weeks. -------------- The tender was conducted in Antwerp under supervision of BDI's independent consultants WWW International Diamonds Consultants Limited. The next diamond tender will be held in October. -------------- | andy
14/9/2005 00:13 | Thanks Andy. Somebody on here reckoned that the October parcel would be about the same size as the September parcel. Do you know if there's any truth in that? Also the company stated that there would be a parcel every other month. My understanding of that was every second month, which would give about $15m per yr. Am I correct or am I do doing my usual and being too optimistic? | ged5
14/9/2005 00:00 | Ged5, Don't worry he's spamming the whole BB with that! Hopefully ADVFN will take the appropriate action in due course! | andy

13/9/2005 23:50 | Bought in here on the announcement of the diamond sales. Yes I'm losing money but not for long I feel. Not a chartist but the chart looks a whole lot better for the downturn. IMHO this is now ready to jump when we get news of the next diamond parcel. | ged5 |
