08/9/2005 04:00 | not on this thread! can now access presentation via minesite homepage. i thought it was a good one - bruce rowan was interested enough to ask mr spencer a few questions afterwards. the parcels are expected to be there or thereabouts of sept one. and will go every other month. new gold resource statement expected in next couple of weeks. mr spencer confident of hitting the magic 1m ounce mark. he v keen on the gold angle. copper deposit on backburner for timebeing as got enough on their plate. note the us$28m tax asset. imho, if all goes according to plan bmg will be an exceptional cash generator. a real beaut! | rambutan2

05/9/2005 08:16 | Presumably all the insiders that piled in before the announcement last week will now try and pile out. It is though very good news, but how much can shareholders deduce from this one parcel given that we can't expect these kinds of large stones and $/Crt all the time? | adam
05/9/2005 08:04 | CEMPAKA DIAMONDS ACHIEVE US$2.5 MILLION AT TENDER LONDON - 5 September 2005 - BDI Mining Corp. (AIM-BMG) is pleased to announce that the first commercial tender of 6,518 carats of diamonds from the Cempaka mine in Indonesia resulted in sales totalling US$2,506,674 (approx GBP#1.36 million). The tender result represents an average selling price of US$384.60 per carat, 35% better than the last Cempaka diamond valuation of US$285 per carat. The largest stone in the tender parcel was a 16.38 carat diamond which sold for US$74,529, or US$4,550 per carat. BDI's Managing Director and CEO, Mr Lee K. Spencer, said: "The high selling price resulted from several factors - the presence of several large stones in the parcel; the better than average proportion of sawable stones; the improvement to colour after acidisation of the diamonds; and, significant interest from the diamond industry in this new source of gem diamonds." The first commercial tender by BDI is a major milestone for the Company, advancing it into the ranks of the small number of AIM listed resource companies which are cash generative from mining operations. The tender was conducted in Antwerp under supervision of BDI's independent consultants WWW International Diamonds Consultants Limited. The next diamond tender will be held in October. 02/9/2005 16:17 | My hope is that this rise is driven by something other than the sale of the diamonds - but perhaps the quality was such they they reached the full estimate. Im sure we will be the first to know :) | abadi
