25/1/2022 14:54 | Booth in Dubai as mentioned earlier in the thread by paulisi Its the testing platforms that they are displaying that will be in demand as the future of medicine is already here ! Added comment. The booth at Dubai has a very much more sophisticated presentation about it, than earlier years, and features Ador, Adaltis and ISE which is the waste disposal business. There is little doubt that the company's ability to attend trade shows and get the info out there has been hampered like every other organisation. Still it does look as if the situation is improving. They are out there again at least. Telco will have had difficulty getting personnel to certain spots but again there is light at the end of the tunnel here also. We really need a trading update and comment from BATM. BATM have a twitter account that regularly features what they are up to so its worth a squint. Added: From what I can see this slide is not BATM specific and most Tech companies in this field are off badly with many halved in value irrespective as to how they are doing. Obviously in BATM case the latest RNS just added fuel to the fire plus Israeli companies that were so much in favour are now not. There is just a lot of mindless selling around which as we have already concluded has precious little to do with the BATM value whose mkt cap is now equivalent to @ 18mths revenue which is another metric to suggest that they are worth x2 current share price They are also on a PE almost half NASDAQ average. We should get a trading update next week sometime if it runs to form. This is how Adaltis are listed at the Dubai conference Link to the event which has over 250 exhibitors and is geared very much to what BATM medical actually do. There is also reference by the organizers that this is one of the first opportunities that companies have had to attend these events and make sales. This really has been an issue. | ![]() fse

24/1/2022 20:36 | >unctuous.... Fair point . BATM medical were making money and growing the division prior to Covid testing. They have solutions and hardware that can identify rapidly most of the existing and emerging pathogens on site. Unless I completely misread them they made it clear at the start of the pandemic that they did not seek to profit from other peoples misfortune and that the covid situation simply pulled focus on their range of products and solutions. Marom said as much in an interview. They make reagents in house and are more interested in getting Lab Readers on site rather than selling covid test kits as this is a continuing revenue stream for them. The margins are undoubtably considerably better on non covid items. Paulisi is correct about them having a lot of assets and I should add very valuable IP with numerous patents. BATM itself is a very much larger operation than it was 5 years ago. The very large biotechs involved with Covid have been hit very hard and a lot of smaller diagnostic companies that are not well funded will likely fall away. BATM are in a great position to pick and choose the areas they want to expand or close off. | ![]() fse

24/1/2022 17:33 | We are not just a diagnostics company, that is why we are so attractive. We have a medical division and IT.The IT side will grow with agility and its high margins and cash flowThe medical division has many assets. In Italy as well as the PCR and lateral flow tests, we have the Natlabs which should start to take off, when covid demand quietens down. We also have Celitron with the agri waste business. | ![]() paulisi

24/1/2022 17:07 | The forthcoming trading update will show that the company is making plenty of money. They are making hay whilst the testing market sun shines. But covid is going away. My concern is what the other testing companies do then. Do they pivot into broader diagnostic testing and provide massively intensified competition for BATM going forward? | ![]() unctuous
24/1/2022 16:55 | 9.4% fall today. Look at the chart folks. It won't be coming back anytime soon unless Marom resigns as CEO. The company has good products but is very badly managed as a business. As a research group its probably fine but it needs to make money. Marom out now | ![]() car1pet
24/1/2022 14:36 | BATM provided a trading update last year on Feb 1st/21 prior to official release Feb 22nd/21. Companies seldom comment on their own share price albeit Marom did comment recently that he knew of no reason for current weakness. Its not as if they have been keeping us all in the dark and I am sure there will be plenty of comment with forward looking statements. Ironically if you were going to hold anything through a downturn then companies that have adequate cash and diversity would be attractive. We had anticipated fall out from winding down of Covid test revenue but thats only a small part of what BATM as a whole actually do. Its beginning to look like baby out with the bathwater syndrome to me. Maybe there is a test for that. | ![]() fse

24/1/2022 11:29 | The silence is deafening !! How BATM can see the price crash and not make comment beggars belief. What I am slightly worried about is that we have been promised ... "announcements will be coming" .... and yet Zilch .... We have heard nothing further from the Vodafone trial .... what happened there ? | ![]() rawdeal1
21/1/2022 19:23 | A bit of perspective. Anything remotely linked to Covid has fallen dramatically. To take a more extreme example Moderna share price hit $485 on Aug 21st it closed today $159 It looks to me as if we are well into over correction phase | ![]() fse

20/1/2022 08:20 | Well Spirent has come out with a very bullish update today which just underlines the disparity between the reality and market perception just now.You can argue that every update is essentially historic but the optimism displayed by companies like Spirent and Batm makes you wonder why such stocks have received quite such a hammering. | ![]() steeplejack

20/1/2022 07:08 | The communication over the last 18 months has been a shambles. Poorly worded RNS, the mess over dividends, lack of trading updates. Someone needs to either get a grip or a new job | ![]() dds14
20/1/2022 00:26 | As a non holder, but prob soon to be, it looks like Mondays RNS, which was poorly understood, triggered selling, momentum grew from there, stops kicked in and possibly a shorter seeing an opportunity. Tech getting a bad rap of late doesn't help, nor does it being Israeli. But as has been said, the intrinsic value is unchanged as far as we know and we're not far away from an update which should be good. ST may well make a timely comment but even if not it seems the selling is AIM overreaction as happens far too often when management don't communicate well. | ![]() paleje

19/1/2022 20:44 | Absolute hysteria, panic at present. 'Bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered' is my favourite investing expression; but because of my own (admittedly incorrect) interpretation. Before the idiom was explained as a warning against excessive greed, I understood it to mean that bulls and bears make money because they are strong. They bet for or against a stock and, unless they acquire irrefutable evidence that their convictions are incorrect, they hold their position. Pigs, on the other hand, want to dip their snout in the trough at any given opportunity but, without the strength of conviction of the bull or bear, they are predisposed to the market's cleaver. A great many supposed bulls were slaughtered today. | lsoc85
