High PE then you read their assessment of the company and their PE is below the communication industry average

So pointless bearish comment comparing to average pe across the market

So if this is valid comment, is it fair to wonder what on earth justified the share price at excess 150 p (and what is it that has disappointed the market since, to the extent that the price has fallen nearly 50 percent ?)

Simply Wall street has a view that the high p/e ratio could be causing nervousness with investors.

ST update now in today's print edition of the IC, that's probably behind the rise.

Seems to have bounced off the 80p area and rising, not sure it'll get anywhere near £1.50p, we're due a trading update aren't we?

Good luck to you car1pet..... I had 3 properties but have sold them into the recent price rises. Just have the house we live in now. Honestly glad to get rid of any tenants. A house that typically lists for $500K here is going for at least $100K more.
Its all as you know driven by low mortgage rates.
Houses also wont sell here unless they require no initial work as buyers are stretched to the limit and can not afford any extra charges.
Also its costing a lot more to build a house now especially with soaring lumber prices so builders are avoiding houses and its Condos for rent everywhere.
Inflation is starting to look like more than a casual threat so developers need to be fleet of foot.
Still you have to make money when you can where you can and we live in a cyclical world.
Not sure I agree about the CEO but can relate to the rest.....

nellyb I'm not negative I'm a realist. As i said I get things wrong and right. You have a good memory. I am a developer and at that time I needed to cash from BATM shares to fund house building and the price was going the wrong way for me. I sold a house yesterday. I was happy with the price and the buyer was happy because he made the stamp duty deadline. Most of my money is tied up in building at the moment but in 12 months time I will have funds to invest again in shares. House building is profitable at the moment but may not be in 12 months. BATM may get a new CEO and be worth £2 in 12 months who knows - certainly not me.
Good luck Nellyb and all you BATMers

carpet, you say "I invest to make money and make my own decisions" - wasn't it you that kept on wanting to know day in day out if the bvc share price was going down - because you had a builder's bill to pay - apologies if i have got that wrong.

carpet, you currently did well when you sold bvc at over a pound. when i sell any shares in a company, i always try not to post any negativity on a bulletin board. call me old fashioned but it just doesn't seem right to me. Each to our own.

I'm impressed with the dedication a number of posters on this board who give unwavering support to BATM. Simon Thompson has been a fan for years. I used to subscribe to the IC but realised their journos were average and stopped subscribing about 4/5 years ago.
I try to avoid mixing emotional attachment with investing. If you just love the company then thats fine but its still worth trying to remain objective. I invest to make money and make my own decisions. I get some wrong and some right.
My view on BATM hasn't changed. Its got lots of potential with good IP and bright people but it does not have a clear business strategy. If it appoints a new CEO who knows how to drive a business forward it could be a ten bagger but while Marom is in charge in my view it will carry on as it does at the moment which to me is more like a research lab.
All my opinion and I respect yours

Not sure that Simon is seen as a ramper at all. It would be a pity if that were the general view, after all he has a good reputation to defend. All his articles are pretty considered, have caveats, and are generally well thought out.

It needs more than Simon Thompson ramping. Where is the dividend which marom committed?

TASE figures today 2.5M NIS traded for a rise of 9.5%
This all does suggest that there were buyers on both exchanges bottom fishing.

The share price has been progressively walked down on very low volumes to try to attract buyers. The share price had appeared to have tested the last 2 intermediary lows @80p and held for a few days prior to the ST comment.
the $4m cyber contract definitely helped put the brakes on a slide.Particularly as this is an extension which gives validation. Other prospects will take note of this.
Trouble is that until sentiment changes companies that have had a good run are vulnerable if things quieten down or are perceived to have done so.
No one wants to make a move first.

A dividend announcement would likely have lifted us considerably.
I think the ST comment was taken as enough is enough and the share price has dropped sufficiently where its a really decent entry point.
So was the ST review the main mover ? IMO its was Oversold and the article spelled out the reasons why and there were people watching this for a bottom.
I think it drew focus onto something people wanted to hear.

I lightened up on a few in the 140's and bought them back just over 100p largely due to the Vodafone announcement. If Telco can start receiving revenue on NFVTime licensing then its all high margin sales and this is very significant.
We also do not know what the medical division sales are but Marom has commented that the medical division is going from strength to strength.

BATM are very much an R&D and acquisitions company so sales are not the only benchmark here. As I said earlier the value of BATM and associates IP is severely understated.

All IMO as I got wrong footed here as I thought 100p would hold and I am underwater on a fair few shares.
