Might not be such good news for Southern Hemisphere if that's the case...as it goes don't think anyone knows enough on the make up of this virus to predict exactly how it will respond to seasonality.https://www.newscientist.com/article/2233249-will-the-covid-19-coronavirus-outbreak-die-out-in-the-summers-heat/For conspiracy theorists how this spreads may not be a natural mutation.https://www.zerohedge.com/health/coronavirus-hiv-mutation-suggests-nearly-1000x-more-likely-sars-infect

Ha...probably end of an order and then not so price sensitive ...it could of course have been a punter getting stopped out so maybe no option , but the guy on the other side who picked up 200k at 37.25p is no doubt thankful.

I hope the fund manager who decided to dump 180,000 shares at 36.2p at 09:23 this morning is happy with his performance

Quite a positive move today with a volume backed reversal. With results and presumably presentations next week wonder if they can synchronise some order updates?

Unless there is existing approved compound which acts as vaccine ( currently unknown) then any new developments will take many months to go through clinical trials culminating in human trials where people will have to be infected as part of double blind trial I believe.Anyway China saying more new cases outside China than inside now so its peaked ...sure.

I just got razzed by the K-9 unit chocolate chip cookies in the carry on bag. What a world we live in.

I am actually at the airport making this post and never seen such high use of the hand sanitizers and some people wearing masks that are basically useless. The key to controlling this is to develop a vaccination. Authorities would IMO be better off concentrating on this. I assume this is an airborne virus 🦠 so immunity is only solution. This is not my field so welcome more informed comment on here.

Influenza virus’s mortality rates are very much a generalization and this is worse than most but not as bad as some. It’s serious for certain but not a pandemic killer it’s being painted as. Controlling it is impossible so they need to find out it’s characteristics early enough to incorporate it into the flu shot. In this respect I feel we all agree that BATM are in a position to offer some real mitigating solutions.

Maybe this could be the next Novacyt!!. They seem to be on the money with regard to identifying infections in travellers with fevers. They also have an agreement with an Italian distributor..and that country seems to be one of the worst affected in Europe.
Would like to think they will say something on these matters on 4th March..date of prelims.

Actual mortality i have seen estimated at over 3% which is far higher than flu, it does seem to impact certain groups more adversely. Smokers and diabetic men over 50 as examples. But here's some info.https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/coronavirus-death-rate-trump-flu-chad-wolf-mortality-a9359406.html

Higher volumes today and further falls. There was talk of a vaccination yesterday but no news today. It seems like a massive over reaction to a virus, which doesn't seem any more serious than flu. In fact the figures suggest flu is more dangerous than this virus. With social media every issues seems to be blown out of proportion as people spread negativity about everything. The BBC doesn't help. BBC news promotes all the negative items. For example they never mention increasing employment levels but as soon there is an increase in unemployment its headline news.

Whatever the short term impact of the NOVID-19 virus and we could be looking at the early stages of a global pandemic this is a wake up call. Few companies have short term answers to identifying and containing contagion , BATM with efficient pathogen identification diagnostics and agri-waste and medical waste decontamination treatment solutions put it in a strong position to capitalise on the undoubted jump in long term capital spend in dealing with these type of outbreaks. They may also turn out to be a beneficiary as they will find a big acceleration in traction in these product areas as people look to throw resources at dealing with the current situation....they certainly seem to be in multiple talks with agencies and medical institutions.Fallen with the market but appears the company has identified the market and positioned itself ahead of this outbreak.https://youtu.be/qK1S8mmvcFI
