30/3/2023 07:07 | LG Have to agree with your comments the Madagascar project fiscal terms could and should have been resolved 4 years ago Can you imagine the attitudes of the ministry of mines officials Madagascar and the facts they believe that the original licence to explore and set up the infrastructure to create the biggest world mine for the minerals available was obtained fraudulently I believed Base when they refuted this claim But I also now believe that the fiscal terms set out by the ministry of mines Madagascar are set so high that a contract will never be a viable option for Base to be in a partnership with the Madagascar government Mud sticks and no matter how Base pushes forward the hurdles will keep moving higher Regards Jane | janekane
27/3/2023 19:40 | Its share price reflects the fact that its one asset, the Kwale mine, is coming to the end of its life and the replacement project, Toliara, is having government approval issues. In its current situation, Base is a big gamble and the share price reflects that. | lord gnome
27/3/2023 19:34 | I have heard some rumours of a possible fundraising to fund future projects?? | justiceforthemany
27/3/2023 19:31 | It's underpriced i would say. | plasybryn

16/3/2023 15:25 | Meant to post this a while back... From 30-Jan-23. Includes "Post-quarter end, Trident acquired a 0.25% Free On Board ("FOB") royalty over the Kwale mineral sands project in Kenya, with an effective date of 1 October 2022. Kwale commenced production in 2013, with operator Base Resources recently extending the scheduled mine life to the end of 2024. Though a non-material purchase consideration and limited remaining mine life on the current schedule, Trident considers the prospects of further mine life extensions to be positive." | shanklin
16/3/2023 05:18 | Closing offer in Austria today = 20c converted to gbp = 11p Bid = 10.72p Credit Suisse the other big bank is in the thick n smelly with the liquidation team sharpening their pencils This is going to crash the uk market again today,Betoota never get it wrong The bank will need a massive loan from the Swiss central bank to clear this up Great day for short traders | janekane
14/3/2023 05:16 | 0.19c on the offer Australia looks like another drop in the uk today This should ease out over the next week as the busted bank has been bought out by HSBC | janekane
10/3/2023 13:49 | This bank in America (JVB)losing over $1.3billion yesterday hasn’t helped Your right about reporting dates but deals aren’t being forthcoming and my thoughts of the sells outstaying buys in Australian markets are as a result of potential deals not materialised In the UK I believe the brits call this the “jam tomorrow syndrome “ I will be a buyer again as my one share sits in a very lonely place right at the top of my not for the faint hearted pyramid portfolio Jane | janekane
10/3/2023 12:56 | The news from Madagascar isn't due yet as we've only recently had an excellent update. That should come later in April in my opinion. In the meantime i'm sure many are pleased to avail themselves of the Spring sale once we get rid of the general market malaise. | plasybryn
10/3/2023 05:55 | Good morning plasybryn Yes the share price Will drop about 5% (exdivi) today The Australian stock has dropped 8% this morning This is as a little resentment of no news re Madagascar | janekane

07/3/2023 20:39 | In that case, I think that the report generator needs to be reprogrammed by someone with a maths GCSE. | lord gnome
07/3/2023 20:01 | While arithmetic may not be the strongest suit of Charlotte Edwards at Directors Talk, her work output is staggering: She produced 71 edited summaries of analysts' reports in just the five days of 3—7 March. Quoted to the precision of her reports, the upside of BSE is 233.3%. To be fair, I checked a random selection of CE's upside calculations for other companies, and they were correct. Added comment: A quotation from CE's summary for Hummingbird Resources states “Canaccord Genuity set a target price of 7 GBX for the company, which when compared to the Hummingbird Resources PLC share price of 7 GBX at opening today (07/03/2023) indicates a potential downside of .0%.” This suggests that her reports are written by pasting into a pre-formatted text generator, which would explain her productivity. | meanreverter
07/3/2023 14:58 | Another maths challenged scribbler. I make that 250% upside near as damit. | lord gnome
07/3/2023 14:38 | Base Resources Ltd with ticker (LON:BSE) now has a potential upside of 70.5% according to Canaccord Genuity. | mondex
06/3/2023 17:00 | Newbie to BSE. Please.... Why is revenue forecast drop 33% through to June 2023? Been soft since September last year. Thanks, tightfist | tightfist
03/3/2023 08:08 | Hi Jane As i said in my post above, i think the Co have lots of options to finance the new mine. It’s size and importance will i am sure bring in interested parties who want part of the action. I get the impression discussions might have already started. Taking a stake perhaps, off-take agreements with funds up front against price deals, etc. There are many ways to skin such a big cat. They are also accumulating cash of course, this time reducing the dividend pay-out. But you are right, Tim did confirm there could be an element of shareholder funding, although this did not sound a significant amount. Perhaps some shareholders will welcome this. If you invest through the period till production is up and running, there will of course be ups and downs, but i expect shareholders will come out the other side with a nice increase. I'm more that sort of investor. I was reading the AR & A yesterday and am impressed by the number of Institutional investors and indeed the Directors and Senior Mgmt. It is all nice and clearly set out. James Fuller has left by the way and for the time being until they get a replacement, the CFO (Kevin) is managing Investor Relations. | plasybryn
03/3/2023 07:59 | Morning plasybryn another good post from you with optimism and excitement for the future I have to agree with the points you make if they agree to fiscal terms with the Madagascar government These fiscal terms have not been agreed on and agreement in principle is as far away as nothing agreed yet The dividend is Welcome by all shareholders Do you have any thoughts on how Base are going to fund the multi millions of bucks needed to get the infrastructure in place to start production I think their will be a share placing to raise the multimillion $AU I sold a 6 figure amount and am currently holding 1 share this keeps my records of transactions easier for my portfolio overview I hope the placing will not be so heavily discounted as to crash the SP anyway good luck to you and your investment here and hope you realise a good return on your purchase Jane | janekane
01/3/2023 16:32 | Another nice tick up. | plasybryn
28/2/2023 10:06 | I think yesterday marked a change. It appears the Fiscal Terms are now known and it sounds like agreed in principle (acceptable to) by both parties.. Now they just need the legal guys to get them onto paper into a formal contract which it sounds like they expect to conclude by April. Then we are a different Co. A World Class mine in the offing with a 38 year mine life. Obviously there is going to be uncertainty over the next 12 months as they agree ways to finance it etc. but the future for BSE looks very exciting imo and most have not yet smelt the coffee. Still under the radar and therefore cheap. The fact they have trimmed the dividend shows how confident they are that finally FID terms will be granted fairly soon. I agree there could be 12 months without cash flow in 2025/2026, although that still isn't certain. Knowing the Toliara mine is close to production could mitigate most of the downside. I also suspect that we will see discussions being announced re: Off-takes and perhaps other strategic interests helping if not securing the financial aspects. Please disagree. Ex dividend on 10th March | plasybryn
