13/11/2024 16:35 | That Welsh ginger scumbag Steve Morgan dumped Redrow on Barratt at just the right time, reminds me of the Taylor Woodrow disaster merger just before the GFC. I’d expect similar results. These could end up sub a quid with what I think is coming for the U.K. economy. | ricardo montalban

09/9/2024 14:52 | Still, a £150m subsidy over 20years!! £7.5m pa isn't much for a 20year committment. The govn needs to come up with huge incentives, subsidiaries if they have any hope of building the mandatory 1.5m homes over 5 years. Or setup a govn controlled HB. They could do this by windfall taxes on current HBs. Potential homebuyers can't afford to buy. HBs have reduced building themselves due to lack of demand cause of affordability problems. | sikhthetech
09/9/2024 14:16 | That's not the build costs! It's a subsidy to take part in the 20 year programme | 1224saj
09/9/2024 14:09 | £150m is peanuts. How many new builds and infrastructure could they build with that sort of money??? Hardly any. | sikhthetech

04/9/2024 08:30 | hb and bs share price performance are pricing in the hope of labour housing plan. its giving the benefit of the doubt this year and probably early 25. after that the mkt will want to see concrete bottom line and will separate wheat from chaff. so i expect you will continue to see outperformnce in the sector. but that doesnt necessarily mean up it can mean less down. fridays job report could be a real kick in the teeth for markets given the binary approach the mkt has to sensitive economic data. a number at 100k or less and you could easily see a few percent wiped off the spx and that will clearly be felt in london too. technically some of the industrials are looking really poor many have broken support at key levels or right there waiting for a signal. | roguetraderuk
04/9/2024 08:16 | Pretty dismal set of results all round, in my view. | vatteton

03/9/2024 09:12 | Remember my statement... BoE base rate at 6% Absolutely no chance. Q3 2024 interest rate reduction? Absolutely every chance. I was correct yet again! I expect the UK’s next rate cut to come in Q4 2024 followed by four quarterly cuts in 2025 and one cut in 2026 – resulting in a 3.5 per cent base rate by the middle of 2026. Watch and learn trolls, you have lost the argument as I told you over a year ago. Now when is the UK house price crash going to happen, lol, just lol! | beckers2008
27/8/2024 14:38 | Thanks both of you - if it interests anyone I sold out. After nearly 6% fall, my profit is in this stock is only 3.5% - but having said that a profit is still a profit. I might be back.... See how it goes. | netcurtains
