The currency exchange rate also seems to be working in favour of UK holders , hence the odd 1.25 % rises we seem to see every now and again .

Technical indicators are looking good as well - volume picking up, price bouncing off the 10-day moving average. All very tasty :o)

No movement today but very solid 25 - 25.5 . Look at the last trades shown on Fat Prophets , 1 million + volume going through right at the end of the day . Not sure if these are delayed trades or last minute buyers grabbing stock .

Fantastic stuff. Waiting for the share price to break 25c was like waiting for Henman to win Wimbledon... 'cept in this case it actually happened.

As you say vic it should be interesting tomorrow!

Following a series of buys at 25.5 the last trade in Oz moved the share to a new trading range 25.5-26 cents , tommorrow will be interesting . Gossip on the hotcopper site is that UBS may have been accumulating large amounts of shares over the last week . Lot of trades going in at the end of the session !

BGF seems to be very steady at the moment trading 24.5 - 25 cents in Oz . 25 cents appears to be the break out point for this share and at the moment its being held back - however if Price of Gold continues to rise it seems likely there will be a move beyond 25 cents which could begin another upward phase !

Back up today off the back of trading in Oz , price now at 25 cents over there and lots of buying at this level , big volume 6 million + . Some suggestion on hotcopper bulletin boards that institutions might be accumulating again , also that this might move further if resistance level at 25 cents is broken !

Some of todays Oz trades

103 4:05pm 0.25 12,150 $3,038

Hello Tony ,
Just got back from work , I see Oz now has offer price of 25 cents , which pretty much equals this years high , my gut feeling is this upward trend may continue - recent price movement seems to suggest news could be on its way .
I use www.asx.com.au to monitor the Oz prices .
Another site I watch is www.hotcopper.com.au which is a free to register Ozzie financial site . Below are some recent BGF postings from hotcopper's bulletin board -

noticed the bid on bgfo climbing to .085 although there has been no trades today. I believe this will head to a new high over the next couple of week's especially if the gold price accelerates and also there should be a new batch of drilling results due anytime. Hzn is also one to keep an eye on .

Price appears to be firming in Oz with a tight offer to bid range of 23 to 23.5 cents . If this pattern continues next week the price over here will rise regardless of UK trades .

23 cents equates to 10p at 0.41 exchange rate .

Hi Tony / Rambutan
.... and if you need further evidence of institutional confidence have a look at todays announcement . J.P Morgan Chase take their holding up to 6.13 % of the company . Considering they also previously purchased 2 million shares at 25 cents a go ( near to the ASX high )what better marker could we ask for as to where they think this is going !
