29/6/2006 07:38 | fallen back in OZ in last two days . Most disappointing and will need a strong gold price to make any progress I fear !! | arja
28/6/2006 08:09 | Morning, Hammy! | jed tinsel
28/6/2006 00:56 | Teh chart says yes, Jed | hampster
27/6/2006 22:22 | This should retrace back to teh twenties, IMO. | jed tinsel

27/6/2006 09:19 | UP 1.5 CENTS IN oz to 30! should improve gradually but may depend on gold price holding up ! | arja
23/6/2006 08:22 | Ditto. Unbelievable re-entry opportunity. | jed tinsel

20/6/2006 22:38 | Check out the TMG thread...Thistle Mining. AXA now have a notifiable position; Zar:$ now above 7; producing 160k oz/year; increasingly profitable; Masbate project with 3 mill oz; RR stake valued ca £10 mill; TSXV listing imminent. Total resource over 21 mill ozs (excl RR). Current mkt cap is just £6 million. I see : - ZAR:$ at 8 before end 06; - zar gold at 5500/6000; - costs for PS sub 400 with US gold at 700+; - masbate funded via TMG profits, reducing dilution/need for hedge Fair value hard to confirm, but I would not consider a 20 bagger from here in any way out of the question. BIG Business in SA want the Zar:$ above 10. I think the SA's are gonna go ballistic, with their increased efficiencies developed while Rand strong working way through to significantly enhanced bottom line profits with weaker Rand. There is not a producer out there in the world with a market cap like TMG for the potential now being delivered. DYOR but don't wait too long, IMO! | holdontightuk
20/6/2006 09:19 | 12vic, keep eye on BYG if you get time . It is best looking chart I have seen in some time . I just took a small position at 417 and will add if it keeps moving higher . DYOR of course as my form of late is not the best !! | arja
01/6/2006 23:17 | Bid rumours afoot: Big rush on Ballarat Gold George Lekakis 02jun06 RECORD trading this week in Victorian gold miner, Ballarat Goldfields, has triggered speculation that a predator may soon launch a takeover for the company. More than 93 million shares in the listed miner changed hands yesterday -- the highest turnover posted for the stock this year. Since soaring to a peak of 50 two months ago, shares in the company sagged to a year low of 30 last Friday in the wake of the sudden slide in gold prices. The company has averaged daily volume of about 6.6 million shares this year, but almost 140 million shares or 12 per cent of the issued stock have been traded this week. Mystery surrounds the identity of a major buyer who acquired a parcel of 82 million shares yesterday. The special sale was completed in afternoon trading at a price of 30.5. Only three institutional shareholders held more than 82 million shares before the market opened yesterday. That means the seller is likely to have been one of either JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch or US fund manager, Mason Hill Asset Management. Ballarat Goldfields entered commercial production in December last year after the company secured sole ownership of mining leases for most of the Ballarat region in 2004. The focus of its operations is an underground development in Ballarat East which is projected to have a mining life of 21 years with average annual production of about 200,000 ounces. The company reported last month that development of the underground mine was being affected by poor ground conditions in weak fault areas. However, the company said that it was still on track to reach optimal production targets by the middle of 2008. Ballarat Goldfields was the most traded stock on the ASX yesterday and closed up 1c at 32c. | estobar
01/6/2006 07:39 | massive volume in BGF in OZ ! Maybe something afoot . But big fall in gold price concerns me although BGF unaffected by it last night ! | arja
30/5/2006 09:41 | Would like to buy back in but fully invested elsewhere at moment i.e AIMR + others , BGF doing well this morning as are other OZ mining stocks . The only thing missing for BGF is positive production news which would surely send it rocketing . | 12vic
29/5/2006 23:16 | Was the most actively traded stock on the ASX yesterday: | estobar
29/5/2006 19:10 | 12vic, my aussie mate bought AIMR and BGF last night so he must like look of charts for those two stocks . I wish i had stayed up until 1am as I could have had a nice trade in BGF which he bought at 31.5 - but too tired !! Further progress may depend a bit on gold price but Us closed today ! | arja
29/5/2006 17:19 | Thinking of topping up yet 12vic? -Buying seems to picking up. | tonystringy
29/5/2006 07:32 | Agree with you Tony Stringy , significant movement in ASX resources last night , BGF up 3.5 cents , AIMR up 2 cents . | 12vic
26/5/2006 22:42 | Well done 12vic! I see gold and silver rising quite a bit in $ value in the very near future. May not have 'missed the boat' here yet after all. Have you compared the recent price charts of gold and silver with the rises seen in the late 70's to early 80's? -Dollar looks dodgy to me. | tonystringy
26/5/2006 22:32 | Hi Arja / Laserdisc , Chose not to buy back into BGF , there appears to be a lot of deramping on the Australian bulletin boards at the moment so price may drop further . Without any hard production news it is difficult to see people rushing to invest in the short term . Put more money into Aimr this morning , moved up slightly today but will hold these at least until Perkoa funding announcement and probably beyond - I can still see a 12p price short to medium term . Silver - difficult to say where this is going at the moment , should remain $12+ immediate future unless further dramatic drop in Gold but this seems unlikely now ... | 12vic
26/5/2006 11:23 | 12 vic nice article on aimr at never had a doubt on this one worth every pennny at todays prices | laserdisc
26/5/2006 09:12 | hi 12vic, you may be right about re-entering BGF at about 12.5 but be very careful. Finished DOWN a cent in OZ after hitting 32.5 earlier when other gold stocks did much better . Still not producing I suppose and investors suspicious . I see silver price picking up a bit today on back of gold price - seems to need that support ! I am still well down on my silver warrants but hoping to cut loss on any big bounce ! | arja
25/5/2006 15:21 | yes and still in profit only a mere 14.3% was up on that about 60% lost on paper this last week 7k but only on paper not real money | laserdisc
25/5/2006 15:03 | Afternoon Laserdisc - are you still holding Aimr ? | 12vic |
