17/2/2020 15:05 | Obviously if they went 50/50 on the first well, it doubles the chance of finding oil, as they will be able to drill two wells. This does involve Seadrill showing the money upfront, but if Seadrill went for some sort of option of first refusal on a second well, they would give BPC a free carry on the second well and maybe drill a load more wells there after as part of a future drill programme on 50/50 cost basis..Drill out the basin and flog it to the highest bidder and split it 50/50. | whoppy
17/2/2020 14:38 | Well they've ordered two well heads so maybe they will drill two wells. Seadrill might offer to drill a second well for free, if BPC hit on the first. Buy one get one free! Would sort out their debt if they have a 50% share in 2Bn barrels. Might want to do it anyway on the first well if it's only costing $25m. A 50% / $12.5m share/cost, for the chance of a jackpot seems a good bet. | whoppy
17/2/2020 14:24 | Definitely Whoppy. Its a shame at this stage two wells can't be drilled. | linton78
17/2/2020 14:00 | Thanks Linton. looks like the BPC well will be one to watch with the potential follow on if successful in opening up a new basin. The upside is just HUUUGE! | whoppy
