Looking back over the partial report of the Carl Bethel conversation-It would be useful to see a verbatim account of the interview as the press report is partial and rather selective ...it's the context of this line .."I have been made aware that they have already commissioned and have an agreement with a major oil company," Bethel said."I cannot say who, but I know who.BPC clearly HAVENT commissioned a major oil company they are seeking JV partner. they HAVE on the other hand commissioned Macquarie.and they have HAD an agreement with a major oil company - an exclusivity agreement and an NDA agreement with same company -is CB referring to this agreement - clearly he is likely to have known the identity and obviously still could not reveal the identity due to said NDA.clearly BPC do not yet have any agreement in full with any partner as they have clearly stated this 28/2 RNSIf anyone can find a link to the full video interview obviously the context would clear this up to some extent.

Another Government minister talking about oil drilling and placating the disgruntled environmentalist groups. Seems like ministers are smoothing the way for any farmout announcement BPC makes regarding an oil major moving to The Bahamas to drill..

My understanding is the E A has been submitted by BPC but not reviewed, which is where B & V come in, not sure if they have started, I assume BPC will be involved in the review and of course this is where a major could add their input.

Stewart - that seems reasonable. Key thing is the partner, EA will be done by the major.
