FWIW - my take on today's news.First and foremost the risk of licence loss is removed, as such the most immediate and serious risk to investors now gone.additionally I would take it as a fair assumption that the GOB would have wanted to see some positive indications that the project could be progressed as they would have had the option to terminate after terms of licence breached.thirdly even though Potter is always falling back on the "added impetus" line it has to be said that any potential partner would obviously want the licence situation clarified before proceeding, if there are indeed suitors waiting on the sidelines then things could indeed now progress quickly.still a risk but investment now rather more compelling after today's news

Wow....what a great position to be in - real certainty and a near 2yrs window to develop with whoever turns out to be the finest suitor.

What's not to like.

Just the right combination and time for a further top-up to be able to sit back and await a very exciting outcome.

Aramco is looking to Invest in LNG projects and Sabic- that's a bit of a leap suggesting they want to drill for unproven prospects in a region where they have zero presence or foothold

Multiple parties still interested, competitive bidding or work together consortium to spread risk. Potter has mentioned competitive bidding environment to get best value for shareholders so hope it's a couple of majors wanting in and go against each other so that Macquarie get the best deal. I think Saudi Aramco has put their stamp on this and will outbid all the competition as it needs to get in and catch up and find big oil.

Should see some big buys as the risk averse get in. At such a low level, it's great buying opportunity. Want to see just a steady rise for next few days, weeks. No spikes up and down. Slow and sure with a good buying base.

5p nailed on till we get news of joint venture , will be interesting to see what deal Mr Potter can negotiate , free carry on first drill would be perfect.
