Hugely distrust VSA's valuation, much too theoretical and ignores largely any real attempt to calculate a present value of margin gains after working capital and other considerations to unlock that latent value.

Stranded assets are value traps for weak management teams.

Analysts at VSA Capital have a ‘buy’ rating and 115p per share price target on Bacanora Lithium shares, well above the current level of 21.75p.

In a note focused on the Zinnwald license extension, the VSA analysts said, based on the previously defined resource, they have attributed a value of £38mln for the project, using a peer-based EV/resource metric, implying 10p per share.

They said that given the proximity of the German licenses and the reported geological similarity, given historic workings for tin, tungsten and lithium across both areas, in their view there is potential for an extension of mine life to that defined in the feasibility study..

The analysts pointed out that Bacanora is planning to produce a lithium fluoride product at Zinnwald, which is one of the most valuable lithium products with recent pricing indicated at around US$22,000 per tonne and could be used by the local German chemical industry.

The VSA analysts also noted Bacanora’s comments on recent share price volatility and the changes to its register prompted by investment strategy revisions at Blackrock and Capital Group.

They said: “With this technical selling now indicated to be complete we expect stronger support for the stock ahead from a trading perspective.”

Overall, the VSA analysts think the fundamentals for Bacanora remain unchanged with Sonora remaining a highly attractive asset which is, in their view, “deeply undervalued

found out why KDNC fell sharply friday...apparently canada have a ruling that stocks are halted when they hit 100% up or down...so kdnc fellin sympathy..however macarthur minerals should do another 100% monday so cadence should recover to 0.44p

can someone confirm what percentage of shares do cadence minerals have in BCN..it says on their website Ownership (16/10/2018) : 6.9% Equity Interest – 30% Joint Venture

is that still the case because cadence look to me very under valued especially with this $4bn glencore/macarthur deal, cadence own 10% of macarthur...and thats not to mention the 5 other projects they have like yangibana and cinovec

It's worrying that BCN sound desperate enough to speculate why market participants are selling stock, and are commenting on their behalf.

If an investor likes the story and can see the return, they'll hold to make money. If they think there's little upside, they'll sell hopefully before others work it out. BCN putting in commentary about how Capital have changed their strategy is frankly amateurish of Secker. If he's feeling insecure maybe he should ask himself why he hasn't delivered on cashflow generation?

KDNC lept massively yesterday (+245%) because of news of an off take agreement on one of their assets, from Glencore.
I expect when we get news here both BCN and KDNC will move upwards significantly.

Market cap now the same as kdnc with their completely unfunded project. Seems ridiculously undervalued here given imminent funding news.

Investment CaseWe believe that Bacanora Lithium (BCN LN)# has positioned itself as one of the most significant lithium projects globally and has delineated a path to construction and production. The weakness in the shares this year, primarily caused by the decline in off spec lithium prices in China was compounded by the delay in completion of the project financing. However, we are convinced that the fundamentals of the project are robust with attractive economics, a strong operational team and viable processing capability. The decline in valuation therefore offers investors a highly attractive risk reward profile. Although the pilot plant significantly derisks the process risk with a market capitalisation of just £35m we believe that investors are deeply compensated for risks surrounding execution and the perception surrounding BCN being the first lithium producer to commercially exploit a soft rock deposit.
