Interesting that NextView bought Lithium X 3 days after announcing the Banorca funding deal, and are no longer answering their phones.Makes one wonder if the banorca deal was a backstop and having secured Lithium X they are limiting their exposure.

Interim accounts out -

All sunny according to management BUT funding needs to be secured - Could well crimp potential profitability also if Lithium signicantly below level in their projections.

However an interesting document to disect.

adobbing: You apparently do not read the Financial Times - would be a very good investment - Many far wiser than either you or I think a very very good probability of over supply, and buyers forcing down the price.

I prefer to do my own research rather than take any notice of some rank amateurs who know nothing about what they comment on, normally without any research other than via google.
Particularly when the same bunch of clowns then contradicts themselves!

Declaration - As a result of the FT articles as well as Blooberg sold out completely in January at prices between 153p and 129p - Thinking about a re-entry point but suspect closer to 75p than today's closing price -

Jog on then, bye bye!....
If I were you i’d try to get my money back from your publications “experts”;

Another muppet back on the filter list.

adobbing,

It might explain why the deal was not completed here, there are many who think lithium could go into an oversupply situation.

If anyone seriously believes there will be an oversupply of Lithium in the near future, they should probably stick to buying scratch cards with their pocket money and leave the stock market to the grown ups!

I suggest you've got absolutely no knowledge of the likely forward demand for Lithium based on your comments. I can't think of why you would continue to post unless you've not closed your short position.

compnews: Excellent risk warning post with back-up supporting calculations -
Many thanks - Confirms my gut feel that BCN one to be avoided for the moment along with most, if not all, lithium start-ups.

I strongly suspect there will be an over-supply of lithium in a few years as new mines come on stream and Musk and crew will play dutch auctions with the price they are prepared to pay.

NextView did not cough up the £31ish million to buy share at 94.53p - not good new.

Recap : the valuation done by Ausenco for Bacarona for the project at 8% discount rate, Li price $11,000 gives Post Tax NPV $802 million which could go down to $148 million should the Li price reduces by 30% ($11000 to $7700, possible as WoodMac has done their study). Someone in this forum pointed out that W Resources has just financed their mine with Blockrock at 13% interest rate, 3% arrangement fee & 5% fully diluted company in warrant. From BCN website presentation it indicates that 2% change in discount rate would change the NPV by ~ $240 millio. If BCN can get finance for the project between 10%-12% then at $11000 Li price the NPV@10% ~ $560, NPV@12% ~$320 million. However, these NPV range could go down to $50million and MINUS $200million at Li prices of $9500.

Base on these estimations, the withdraw of NextView and the delay in getting finance from other sources and the re-domicile, I am afraid the risk has increased. I would hold on to my money until such time of financing success.

Well, these things do happen in business and no doubt they will find another investor in time. Patience is key here and the project is where still where it is. Hold your horses!

Agree with that Pug. I would not be holding this until a clearer picture of the funding criteria is available. However, a takeover approach has now become much more likely. I am surprised the share price has held up at this level and expect it to fall into the 70's quite quickly.

But (imo) very likely at a much lower valuation - Lithium has been in a bubble aand now after SQM significanlty increased production permissions likely to be lower for longer than expected.

Hard to know where they go from here but would seem that they saw the writing on the wall and hence the decision to move to the London registration. This will surely delay the project and may possibly result in an equity placing in the interim although I am not quite sure of their cash position or commitments given that they now have two projects to manage. A real shame at this point when so close to the end game.

So agreement to fund has fallen through, this does not change the prospects for the company. Hopefully BCN have legal route to some recompense but also means they have opportunity to find a more suitable and trustworthy funder

The share price is at a more realistic level now considering the recent new investor paid circa 94p. Probably a good time to accumulate although it could move lower in the short term. Nice long term hold if you are patient.
