Yes I noticed that too; they got it wrong, TU 9th Jan. The share price plunged after the HY results in Nov, I did rather will out of that buy, will there be another bargain next week? Sp has weakened recently so not promising. |
IC gave today as trading update. Nothing so far. Has anyone any info? |
Now corrected by ADVFN. |
OK I am going for NERD of the week , but have just noticed that ADVFN have made an error, look at the top R chart , October 23 appears twice. It appears to be the same error across ADVFN. Presume they have compressed the other months or is this some kind of giant leap year? |
ii being slow with the divi. Still not received mine |

An interim dividend(6) of 5.1p per Ordinary Share will be paid on 15 December 2023 (H1 FY23: 5.0p) -- FY24 Group adjusted
John v that is the payment date it went XD a month ago, so none of yesterday's drop was XD. |
There's greater latitude when it comes to reporting trades(block trades etc)that are larger than NMS ie normal market size.Reporting can be delayed. |
News of SSA investments sold 28m shares

MM don't always like to be up front. I think, from memory they have up to two hours to publish trades in the day? |
That's really weird the 06:00 trades have disappeared. Earliest trade now shows is about 07:00 |
Thank you slogsweep,
Not a shot I'm any good at playing, unfortunately. :-( |
Well that accounts for 5p of the 30p dropp. |
I use ADVFN it logs trades. Maybe BME is quoted on an exchange in Europe which are ahead of us in time. |
9th Nov statement.An interim dividend(6) of 5.1p per Ordinary Share will be paid on 15 December 2023 (H1 FY23: 5.0p) -- FY24 Group adjusted |
Where did you see that data then please? |
Must be ex divi date then? |
1/2 million shares sold two hours before market opened this morning. not seen that before wiped about 10% of SP |
the high debt concerns me but chart looks good and share price heading for 650 in time . So more in it and the chart rules :) |
Where have I said that? It's a pressure facing the business and their ability to pass on costs and compete. I don't think B&M should be able to pay minimum wage on 16 hour contracts whilst their employees claim benefits to make ends meet. But they do. |
Sorry that workers receiving a small increase on a pitiful wage upsets your investment plans. |
I sold my small amount of shares yesterday mainly because they've been on a good run recently but also because of various bits of scuttlebutt about the way the company is being run.
A friend resigned as store manager due to increasing demands for more stock throughput whilst being allocated less avaiable working hours and staff. In my area there have been several managers that have left for competitors often with 10 years plus experience. Stock is building up in store warehouses due to staffing bottlenecks.
Minimum wage increase from April.
Xmas stock already gone. Each season gets pushed earlier and presumably this will have to stop at some point. First xmas stock in August, now pretty much gone. |
nice looking uptrending short term chart but the horrendously high debt/equity ratio is a concern assuming I can trust the info on ADVFN financials |
I let go some that I bought 3 weeks ago. Quick 15% but with Xmas coming I may be out too early. |
Go away ramper.
I see that IC comment on yesterday's share price drop might be from the reduction in lfl sales growth rate and the word "volatile" in the commentary. FWIW they conclude still a BUY. |
