Exactly what at AVM could be going on that is 'big'?

They usually start with something big and turn into something very small - like investors cash!

The weekly chart has given a 'buy'-signal in spite of the manipulated closing price. What price AVM when (not if!)the gold price hits $3,000? AVM is a serious multi-bagger over the next 18 months or more ..!

Can anyone confirm what price this closed on the other exchange? Is it listed in Norway?

IG is saying:
Open High Low Change % Change
82.00 96.10 83.91 14 17.07

Surely that can't be right can it?

Yahoo finance appears to agree:

AVM to be saved from the knackers yard by soaring gold price?

They could have Elliott paid off by year end if gold keeps motoring towards $1500 in that time frame, as astute gold watchers expect.

A high risk/high reward punt then.

Once again yuk for that Qly production update. They are in technical breach of the loan agreement with Elliott secured on the Guinea assets - nothing mentioned here - have cash costs approaching the current PoG before any cap-ex and exploration and need to pay $1.3m pcm to the loan taken with African development bank. The results day in March will be interesting!

regards,

Paul

Gold miner Avocet Mining is looking for a merger partner to ward off a cash crisis that could send it into liquidation, according to the Sunday Times. Sources close to the situation said Avocet could run out of money within 90 days after it was hit by the sharp fall in the gold price. It has hired Investec to find a buyer or another rescue route after Avocet revealed last week it could not repay a $15m loan from its biggest shareholder, the vulture fund Elliott Advisors.
