Can't make up my mind if this was forced on them to keep Magnetically afloat. Perhaps I misread it earlier but had impression that no one else would fund? |
Another positive follow on investment (£6m) by Avingtrans to lift its stake in disruptive, medical devices firm Magnetica from 61% to 74%.

Regards Magnetica GM |
It also seems that AVG is due to up it's stake in Magnetica from 61.3% to a maximum of 76.6% via a placement and retirement of AVG loans to Magnetica. Subject to an approval at a GM 16th January 2023. |
The planned proposed exit in 2024 is the interesting bit imo. |

Excelent post Paul. I used to hold Hayward Tyler and knew they made those critically high quality pumps. The AVG bought the company, I bought AVG shares. Don't think the market appreciates the value here. Probably sees them as another "conglomerate" not a specialised niche manufacturer. |
Tonight's big England vs Wales game dominates the media.
However in other major news today, the UK also approved the new £20m nuclear reactor at Sizewell.
One stock set to benefit from the nuclear renaissance is Avingtrans. Find out here how.

Attended 3 or 4 years ago and was somewhat underwhelmed.
After being told this was not going to be like a 'normal' company agm and they were a extraordinarily shareholder friendly business we raced through formal business and questions were curtailed after 20 mins or so with no presentation or opportunity to chat to directors over a cup of tea.
Be interested to hear if it's improved since then. |
Sadly I could not make it this year, given I was the only one last year perhaps it was just the Board! |
In case anyone missed this terse statement in the AGM results email quote The Company is pleased to announce that it continues to perform well and current trading is in line with market expectations. unquote Did anyone make the AGM? |
so far today 8,500 shares traded and price down 6%. |
Many thanks for your thoughts Cerrito, I am however surprised that the share price has not recovered rapidly as I would have expected someone to snap up the available shares. |
DGWinterbottom I am going on the basis that there is an insti that wants out and this is not the most liquid share as indeed there is little turnover of holdings by the plus 3pc shareholders. I see that at about 1pm there was a 20k share trade and another for just short of 10k shares and another of 8k shares and that for the majority of trading days in September total trading volume was less than the 39k odd here. |
Any thoughts as to why the share price has fallen so much? |

I have seen they are due to report Prelims on Wednesday which if true would be a bore as we have the June interims from the stragglers beating the end of month deadline.. Much better to do it in the first week of October when there are very few results. Perhaps they want to hide their results. |
'Steady as she goes' for specialist engineer Avingtrans, who said today it was trading in line with expectations.
