That is what usually happens pixi. I guess they are going to be as nervous as hell in stumping up more cash. Good money after bad????

I bet the lenders screw them to the floorboards over this.

Ha ha - good on you MW.

Forget the ebola crisis, and the price of gold, it really does seem as though there has been a horrendous mess made of the whole project.....

"... but AUE management cannot even get the mine up to full production"

Are you saying they couldn't get it up?

Mwaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

diesel (6511)

"isn't the target production, 10,000 oz/month? [...] but at 3600 oz so far this month that is barely 50%."

To be precise, it's 36% which is WAAAAAY less than 50%. :)

No reading has not done his job. We are years behind schedule . We are debt ridden. Still not at commercial production. Poor poor preformance by reading.

Hit 121p soon after the split. Unfortunately I didn't have the sense to sell at the time - quite a bit lower.

But a 20 multi-bag above now, although, oddly, it gives me no sense of satisfaction.

As far as the mine is concerned, Reading has done his job, and been well paid - but that has been paid for by the s/hlders who have had SFA but pain & destitution.

You've not bee around long enough then Robrah. Split off from alongside Afferro many moons ago. Think it hit about 110p at one point.

Literally, downhill ever since....

Agreed MW, we make our own choices and shouldn't be blaming others when they go wrong IMO. Take it on the chin, learn from it, and move on.

All IMHO.

No not bitter. We make our own choices. Difficult to get it right when you're only a little player like me and they don't play with a straight bat though. Property is more predictable.

Well I've pretty much written it off now. RG must be fuming unless they cut him a deal. To sink another £4m in only for this to happen must be galling. Makes me want to just go out on a spending spree today. At least I'll be getting some pleasure out of it. Ok Bluewater here I come.

Agreed MW - surely this can't be the case though.

Problem is, if they can't service their debt then this is going the way of Afren et al IMO.

michaelwhight - that's the bit I can't understand. Unless, as eeza says, an MBO on its way?
deltrotter

Maybe MBO coming?

SP methodically trashed down from around 120p at split with AFF to 3p now.

It's hard to see how they could have messed this up any better. Why buy more land when you are that strapped for cash?

Maybe not as bad as it seems? Holding up pretty well at the moment.

Good luck all holders - I feel your pain. I had massive hopes for this one back in the day.
