14/12/2006 15:28 | Another move in the right direction for mblox. Their ambition has to excite? | clint2006
09/12/2006 11:48 | More good news from mblox | clint2006
05/12/2006 14:19 | Luminar - sells entertainment and non core units, sees cash on completion of £76.8m, to return cash to shareholders. Stock up 2% | lbo
01/12/2006 13:36 | "The only thing stopping me from taking the plunge is the valuation of MBlox". As long as you've got a handle on the bar/club business. Regards, Ian | jeffian
01/12/2006 11:54 | indeed. Last financing round would have been the benchmark for valuation and offers some comfort as unconnected 3rd parties were lead investors. it may have deteriorated or improved of course. | adam
01/12/2006 09:39 | Ive been looking more closely at Avanti and on the surface it does look attractive. The only thing stopping me from taking the plunge is the valuation of MBlox. It seems the sector as a whole hasnt really had a very good summer with the likes of WIN, Bango, Adamaind etc all having problems. On the other hand takeovers of competitors etc have continued apace. Do the board think that the Mblox valuation will hold up or that events have conspired to place a lower valuation on Mblox. Thoughts gratefully appreciated. | nickcduk
25/11/2006 10:35 | More good testimony to mblox activity. | clint2006
17/11/2006 16:04 | Thanks for the tip, bought a few. | adam
17/11/2006 11:47 | Small buyback on wednesday bumped the price up a little PS. Any views on Adamind(ADA)? Current share price 22.5p versus net cash 31.5p at interim stage. Guidance suggests H2 effectively break-even (revenues 2.7 times H1) if cost-cutting applied. Prob still some ongoing cash burn until cost-cutting takes effect next year. The bull case is profitable next year (confident outlook for 2007) with 29p-30p cash on balance sheet. Worst case cash burn continues but cash on balance sheet should limit downside. Risk/reward looks very favourable | hugepants
13/11/2006 11:33 | On 2nd thoughts, I did ask whether he thought it likely there would be an exit from mBlox in the near term, and he said no. My question could have been more precise! | adam
13/11/2006 11:11 | Apparently mBlox is up for sale. This would explain coy responses to my questions from Fellerman, and also why not doing buybacks in market at the moment. Whether it achieves the price it is booked at with Avanti is another matter. It could be that there are problems or needs more funding and backers decided to sell rather than pump money in, or just sniffing around to see if there is any interest at the right level from prosepctive buyers. | adam
08/11/2006 00:06 | No. It would be for the main shareholder to do that. Essentially that is why they bought Laxey out at 190p (I believe) as they are bulleys. You need more than our 4%, and it is too expensive and you need a good plan to replace that of the current management. At this stage it wouldn't serve any purpose either. The company is being liquidated effectively which would be all I would want them to do anyway. I spoke to Fellerman this evening. He told me that income from both management fees and interest from Barclub will likely allow further buybacks. The big question of course remains about the smoking ban - it depends how big an impact that has. Well, what else, I got the impression that mBlox is not floating soon. Perhaps I am paranoid but I did not feel suitably reassured about its current trading though I could not ask the question directly, so this is sketchy. The news flow seems excellent. They are looking hard as you might imagine at various exit routes for Barclub, which is trading well, and this includes a combination with a similar size business. It would not be a cash buyout, but it must make sense to bulk it up. We'll have to hope they make a good job of it.... back to hibernation... | adam
07/11/2006 21:27 | adam Have you ever thought about trying to get rid of Fellerman and Kleiner? | arthur_lame_stocks
07/11/2006 16:24 | I think the directors should forego their paycheques. The clowns were buying back shares at 190p and indeed all the way down from there. They dont seem to be very switched-on. | hugepants
07/11/2006 16:19 | They say will return proceeds of sale by share buy-back, but current share price looks a good opportunity, but have they sufficient cash? I think not, but have left a message with the directors. They will need some cash for possible follow-on funding and to finance the directors' paycheques. Should be an (unreliable?) income from Barclub. | adam
07/11/2006 15:11 | I can´t see any great surprises there. Pretty poor results, nearly all of the cash has gone into Po Na Na. Wordmap has gone under too, another one of their recent investments, although Espresso, mBlox and Medcenter all went up in value. Po Na Na still has virtually no cash by the looks of things so perhaps more is going to disappear into this disaster. And they still can´t sell it. No hint of a sale/float of mBlox. | arthur_lame_stocks
07/11/2006 13:44 | Final results Comments welcome | hugepants
16/10/2006 10:40 | One might think that these two are thieving gypsies. They are fully aware that in all likelihood m blox will IPO at a multiple of the last round (I know that this will be a lot more than 2 times) giving them a very nice bag of swag. I am amazed that they are allowed to get away with this. A 3% management fee for what amounts to passive management is a rip-off as well. | ecapital
11/10/2006 13:58 | I had to look it up. somnambulistic - Sleepwalking (also called noctambulism or somnambulism) is a sleep disorder where the sufferer engages in activities that are normally associated with wakefulness while asleep or in a sleeplike state. Sleepwalking can affect people of any age. Adam, Agree risk/reward is favourable at current price. | hugepants
11/10/2006 12:41 | OK ALS at least you put some numbers on it Barvest equity + bond = £0 Incidentally as someone who spends a lot of time investing in mining stocks (look at CRC's and ACU's option schemes) and having had a run in with the likes of the Redbus directors et al... I can't really put Fellerman/Kleiner in the same league. They aren't dishonest for a start, just somnambulistic and greedy. | adam |
