07/11/2016 12:47 | Seems that James Fisher is using Olympic Ares for installing the turbines starting today. JF are intalling three of the four, with the fourth by Geosea. | bamboo2
31/10/2016 10:27 | Multi Purpose Offshore Vessel 'Olympic Ares' docked at Nigg recently. I know it's a busy port, but speculate it could be the type of vessel that might be used to instal our turbines. | bamboo2
31/10/2016 08:55 | Ex, I see the end of day close on Friday above the neckline of the INVH&S as making a valid continuation pattern. Target approx 82. Bulkowski describes it here, mainly as a reversal pattern, | bamboo2
31/10/2016 08:08 | Only an educated guess that lower volume on the right shoulder indicates reducing selling pressure (sellers drying up) | pj 1
30/10/2016 16:56 | Hi bamboo2, That's the first time I've heard that description/terminol TIA | extrader
30/10/2016 14:17 | Confirmed Inverse Head and Shoulders on the chart. | bamboo2
27/10/2016 20:05 | Thanks for the links. Looking to dip my toes here. | petes5
27/10/2016 09:26 | Pete, Try this post on the Motley Fool a couple of years ago | stepone68
27/10/2016 08:34 | Pete, I have no info on figures other than that on co website. There may be others that have a bit more. Neptune and Olympic Orion now both moored at Nigg. There was previous mention of the Aker Wayfarer being used for installation of Turbines. I guess that this was/is being used by the James Fisher installation team. Aker Wayfarer currently in Norway. | bamboo2
26/10/2016 17:52 | New to this company but very interested in wave power. Not a big fan of wind. I have been trying to find information on future revenues for the Pentland Project and how long to pay down the installation costs. Any links / info would be much appreciated. Crossed over to South Ron from JOG years ago and thought then that this would be an ideal place for Tidal Power. Just a shame I didn't keep an eye on developments. | petes5
26/10/2016 09:45 | Hi PJ, bit short of time right now, will review chart target later. edit added, 23:19 My initial target remains at 85. An eod close above 85 targets 89 Longer term there is a Cup and Handle pattern that reaches a minimum 114. Sorry the chart pattern targets aren't a little more exciting! I guess while it's true to say it's powered by the moon, it's not going there! | bamboo2
26/10/2016 08:57 | Do you have a price target here bamboo? I have what I call a 'review' price of 100p, but depending on the situation, assuming that target is hit, I will consider adding with a medium term view FWIW | pj 1
26/10/2016 08:52 | Good to have confirmation. Marine Traffic latest... Olympic Orion is docked at Nigg, Neptune is currently headed there. Guess they are going to be loading turbines. I think Geosea [Neptune operator] is installing the Atlantis turbine, while James Fisher the other three Andritz turbines. | bamboo2
26/10/2016 08:10 | 26 October 2016 Atlantis Resources Limited ("Atlantis" or the "Company") MeyGen Update Atlantis, a global leader in the tidal power sector, is pleased to provide a further update on the offshore construction programme at the MeyGen project site in the Pentland Firth, Scotland. As announced on 7 October, the first of four Turbine Support Structures ("TSS") was installed using the Neptune jack up vessel owned by Geosea. All four foundations have now been successfully installed using the Neptune jack-up vessel which has been demobilised from the project site. This offshore operation was a resounding success and importantly has validated the use of jack up vessels for the purpose of installing tidal turbine foundations offshore in high flow locations. The use of a jack-up rig for the installations is significant for the future of the industry offering a flexible and fast installation solution. The project remains on track to have all turbines installed and connected to the grid in time for first power delivery from the world's largest tidal power project by the end of the year. | bamboo2
25/10/2016 21:50 | Wonder if of any interest to ARL?http://www.begbi | norbert colon
25/10/2016 19:26 | lux, step and others, Thanks for the info. Done some more research, in order to better understand the installation. It is a three stage process, foundation, then turbine fitting and electrical connection, then nacelle and rotors. There are two different teams installing, Geosea and James Fisher. Olympic Orion looks like it is bound for Nigg this evening. [maybe for more hardware?] Fascinating to follow this story in between times! | bamboo2
24/10/2016 16:32 | They are continuing to state first power before the end of the year. They must be pretty confident. (cue RNS saying "Easter"!!!) | stepone68
24/10/2016 13:39 | Yes, not much point commissioning a 4th turbine underwater unless the 1st turbine was about to be connected. In theory, the underwater connection tunnels are in place, the cables are there, with an active high voltage line taking the feed directly to the grid. I'd like to be cautiously optimistic that at least 1-2 will be connected by the end of November. You see wind turbines connected in much the same way over a period of less than a week. | luxaeterna1
23/10/2016 10:11 | They have been so lucky with the weather. I guess the last foundation goes in today. What I am unsure about is the timing of the fitting of the turbine to the foundation, then the subsequent electrical connection. Does the fitting of the turbine follow directly after the ballast blocks have been placed? Anyone know? edit added, Marine Traffic saying Olympic Orion has been adjacent to Neptune but is now returning to port. I guess it has delivered the ballast blocks. | bamboo2
21/10/2016 19:33 | Yes all seems to be going swimmingly so far...... | pj 1
21/10/2016 17:47 | It looks to me like the 'heavy' work might be completed this weekend/early next week. I'm not sure how much extra time the electrical connections and other commissioning will take, but I think there could be a very positive rns could be on the way quite soon. | bamboo2
21/10/2016 08:51 | Good recent pictures on Atlantis website of loading process over the last few days. Neptune on the move up north again this morning. Weather forecast superb. | bamboo2
14/10/2016 10:02 | Neptune returned to Nigg last night. Assuming all the bases are installed, I guess getting ready for loading and fitting the turbines. Weather not so good right now, but settles again early next week. edit, added 20:16 15/10/2016 photos suggest that they may be quite a bit further on in the installation process than I had imagined. :-) | bamboo2
