07/5/2008 08:20 | Some decent buys went through yesterday which may give us a push. Hopefully move up towards results? | loafofbread
06/5/2008 16:36 | no one following. Nice and easy to accumulate. This is undervalued compared to peers and will fly when 'discovered' | wassapper
06/5/2008 08:43 | lots of reports about increased coal usage worldwideincluding uk power stations but our share price almost dormant. nice dividend too. any ideas as to why | cnx
20/3/2008 12:01 | I can't figure out what's causing the share price drop - we seem, so far, to have been immune from the recent Market turmoil. | spaceparallax
13/2/2008 19:40 | The spot price keeps creeping up which is good news for coal producers, today the Rotterdam price was $142 (up $2) Note so self: buy some more ATH tomorrow | timbo003
13/2/2008 11:08 | Agreed, FD buying usually a very solid indicator. | spaceparallax
12/2/2008 18:13 | A bit of director buying announced today I see, I always pay more attention to director dealing when it's the Finance director and this one involves Steve Beaumont (the FD), 10,000 shares at £2 per share. | timbo003
10/2/2008 19:06 | Thanks for the good information | notanewmember
10/2/2008 17:21 | Notanewmember I think this is probably what you are looking for (see chart in link below), this is the June contract for Rotterdam delivery, prices are in US dollars. Remember ATH sell much of their coal on prearranged fixed term contracts at a fixed price, however these contracts will need to be renegotiated on a rolling basis, so it will benefit ATH if the wholesale price of coal rises with time. I remain extremely bullish about ATH and intend to add more to my holding in the coming weeks assuming the share price stays down in the doldrums Meanwhile, here's a few very recent news items which support the bullish case for ATH and other coal producers which are a good read. | timbo003
26/1/2008 08:00 | Excellent news Keep digging chaps! | timbo003
04/1/2008 12:33 | "Seymour Pierce" giving broker note on this today to "buy". Coal looking very strong now for the foreseable future, a good time to get aboard before the next leg upwards. | aspers
06/12/2007 09:42 | Not many shares looking posative at the moment......this the exception, looking good for the future with a good dividend payment soon. Good broker note to buy on digital look today so am in here first time after dumping my YELL shares at a good loss!!!....lets hope it is a good move. | aspers
05/12/2007 09:13 | Solid results. | spaceparallax
20/11/2007 16:53 | Phew, timely news! | spaceparallax
20/11/2007 13:15 | Nasty dip, but at least holding the 200p level for now. Few shares appear to be unaffected by the gloomy Market sentiment. | spaceparallax
06/11/2007 14:22 | Great news - look at the share price go! | spaceparallax
05/10/2007 08:30 | TS seems positive; the only concern being the planning applications and appeal. | spaceparallax
19/9/2007 07:38 | SP appears to be drifting down in response to the recent Director Selling. | spaceparallax
02/8/2007 14:54 | Trading indicates virtually all Buys - perhaps we have an Insti or Director offloading a chunk and that's soaking up the Buys? | spaceparallax
02/8/2007 12:11 | Not really, apart from recent general Market turmoil. | spaceparallax
02/8/2007 09:26 | Any ideas on the recent fall? | loafofbread
31/7/2007 12:02 | I don't really understand why we're continuing to drift - recent dip, fair enough but this seems excessive. | spaceparallax
19/7/2007 19:57 | Confirmation of higher market prices from UK Coal statement yesterday: "We are confident any new supply agreements will reflect market prices adjusted upwards for transport and other benefits of sourcing indigenously produced coal. Coal prices at 30 June 2007 have increased by more than 15% compared to 31 December 2006." Rising transport costs (seabourne) make UK sourced coal more competative against imported coal from the likes of Poland. Sam | sammu
10/7/2007 20:31 | I think I read that Drax got a earnings downgrade recently due to higher coal prices. Good news for ATH. Sam | sammu |
