Until Atalaya can satisfy the High Court that the land upon which the mine is built has been paid for, this is simply a punt on the outcome of legal argument. Resolution of old Trafigura/MRI power battles is dangerous terrain for PIs - IMO

Yes copper is $2.6165, a steady climb, watch the TSX tonight, ATYM will gain on there then here tomorrow imo

Copper 2.60 now...everything is lining up for us perfectly, just waiting to get Astor resolved....this share price can only move in one direction imo and that is up...10p in old money would be a start!

It seems reasonable to assume MMs generally have a flat book or small position open all of the time . . . What is not reasonable is to assume the MMs are running a short position valued at over £40k . . . MMs make their money on the spread and not by running high risk long and short positions . . .

It seemed reasonable to assume they would have a flat book going into the year end. All Ive done is examine every bargain and determine which are buys and which are sells, as opposed to the largely meaningless algorithm that simply divides the QUOTE by two and allocates bargains below as sells and above as buys.

I also use dummy buys/sells quite often to assess the apparent demand and possible book position at the margin.

After all, if theyre bidding me for 35000 but only offering 2500 at the price, its reasonable to assume theyre short...?

And whats wrong with makingvobjective positive observations as opposed to a string of negatives?

After all, dont we all want the share price up....?

No need to do the calculations based on a selective period of time, some dodgy software and no knowledge of what the MMs can see . . . It's a ludicrous assertion and ramping nonsense IMHO . . .

Cu doing well this morning. Hopefully a trading update tomorrow although if it follows the standard format most of it is already known through the company presentations.

Little tip if I may: SOM released their trading update today and it is fantastic. Currently up 7% but this does not reflect the good news just delivered. Results are such that they have committed to raising standard divi from 30% to 40% of net adjusted profit and they now have more than $10m in cash so a special divi in the pipeline.

Looks like they're 3.6 short today after the last few flurries but still 32.6 short since 1st Jan by my calculations...

Now need to bust through resistance at 155/165 and we're off to the races...

That's actually a late reported 12.40 bargain Husbod...the sell price was exactly the same as another bargain at 12.19 and only a smudge lower than a tiny bargain reported at 12.43...

Nil desperandum...

However I remain convinced the MMs are playing games...

While the 'quote is 148/154, the actual dealing spread is much tighter at 3.8p...

Market size (2500) offered at 152.8p

Bid at 149 for 2500

148.773 for 25,000

148.01 for 35,000

Looking good...onwards and upwards...

And a small free float . . . Keep an eye on the 160p area again as we know there are sellers at this price . . . A great trade from the 125p area . . .
