High street retailers are blaming online retailers for lack of profits!

Reason it has dropped the last couple of days is partly down to shorts increasing, currently 5.97%I believe this has caused the drop the last few days. In my opinion anyone shorting this share now at the current levels will get stung. Online fashion is growing in popularity and as soon as ASOS has sorted out warehouse issues things should hopefully start getting alot better for them. There is alot of fear around in markets across the world which is dropping the price of alot of company's. Time and patience is needed in this stock ,but when it comes down to it asos is still an excellent brand and company.

YES but they're investing huge amounts in growing the business. Growth is much better than short-term dividends can ever be.

ASOS's profit for the year will only be £30m.

you mean brick and mortar retailers highnetworth - asos is still growing sales - what i can't understand is the vast valuation difference between asos and boohoo when asos is by far the bigger company of the two.

Next week probably £25.
September is approaching, a good trading period.

Prepare for Xmas, A very impressive selling period for ASOS and other retailers.
Clothes selling online is King, Asos is at the top of the online retailers

Agree, I can't see why Amazon would be interested in Asos. I can see how someone like Walmart might be though. Or closer to home Next. Asos is a strong brand and would help those retail giants diversify straight off the High Street into internet shopping.

I think it's changed for Amazon generally. They don't need to buy these companies now. This market place empowers people to sell everything.

Amazon were never going to make a bid for ASC, why would they? What would they get that they don't already have and have better of? Infrastructure, Business Model, Stock?

Besides no-one is going to bid 4x current share price! Maybe 30% premium on the current price, but looking at the financial situation of ASC, you wouldn't touch it with a barge pole at the moment. Debts of £600m and very little cash, CAPEX of 200m this year and next and very little profit. So debts will be 1bn by 2021 and profit?? Will they even be able to service the debt? The crazies will keep buying the share based on it being cheap compared to what it used to be, but they will not look at the fundamentals; my bet would be it will be below £20 within a matter of weeks. Make no mistake this is high risk as to whether they can sort out their issues and start making sufficient profit all against the backdrop of more and more competition.

Takeover is coming! 29/07/2019. 200% rise from here! Don't say I never told you. All the best. Amazon are going to pay £60+ per share

Update 12th August re RAMP post above :

1 The share Price did not rise 200% from here
2 The share price went up and then down but mainly down and lower than it was on the 26th July
3 Beware of RAMPs claiming ridiculous share price predictions, they can trip you up.
4 Poster said takeover on 29th July....didn't happen
5 Poster said 'Don't say I never told you' and 'all the best' !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scandalous behaviour
