08/6/2004 16:13 | Yes, just a shame that they are still overlooked. Would have thought that todays announcement may have triggered more activity. Will be interesting to see whether IC pick up on the story next week. | flc
08/6/2004 09:35 | yep.. growth is pretty steady.. and possibly looking at profitability nxt yr... the company is turning round..albeit.. at a steady pace...it is interesting that asite software now is going to places other than the construction industry.. steady growth... | safman
08/6/2004 09:33 | Very encouraging report. I notice results were posted earlier this year so we may even get another announcement shortly. It's still difficult to ascertain the true long term potential of this business but short term the good news is that the business model is robust enough to make profit and long may this continue. Hopefully now some press coverage will see it moving higher | flc
08/6/2004 09:00 | were moving in the right direction now and looking good for a profit in the next set of results i dont think there will be many sellers out there so hopefully a steady climb over the next few months. a good investment stock so i will continue to pick a few up when i can and maybe one day we will see £1 again | kingcnut

08/6/2004 08:32 | LONDON (AFX) - Asite PLC reported narrowing losses in the full year, helped by cost cuts. In the year to December 2003, the group's pretax loss eased to 2.46 mln stg from 5.39 mln last time. Turnover from continuing operations rose to 1.7 mln stg from 1.57 mln previously. But the group is more upbeat about the future, following a management revamp and recent product launches. "We have strengthened the board of Asite and we have built a management team to deliver on our sales and business development targets. The growth in our sales since the start of 2004 has been promising," said chairman Sir John Egan. At end-May, the gross value of the group's contracted sales stood at 1.2 mln stg. The value of its order book -- or the value of contracted sales less work done -- has grown to 1.8 mln stg, he added. "The value of our sales pipeline measured in terms of proposals where we are in active negotiation with our clients has risen to 1.4 mln stg," he said. The company will continue to keep close control over costs, Egan said. As part of that effort, it is currently building a software development capacity in India. mbe/slm/ | safman

07/6/2004 13:25 | Hopefully, as we are near to final results they should continue to tick up slowly. Gordon Ashworth informed me that results were going to be announced mid year so we're probably looking at end of June. If we get to 7p or even 8p before end of the month and then the figures are good we could be looking at double fogures again. | flc
07/6/2004 09:15 | no truely up to date figures but last years results were in june so all will be revealed shortly | kingcnut

07/6/2004 08:52 | and were off.about bloody time | kingcnut
27/5/2004 22:35 | agree absolute bargain. chances of doubling your money 70% chances of losing it nil. no drop in last few months when all around were falling so safe as houses | kingcnut
27/5/2004 08:37 | We live in hope! At least they appear to be getting their PR on the right tracks. They are also now very quick in responding to shareholders questions. I had a reply from Gordon Ashworth within 30 minutes the other day. Also, when you look at the financials over the last 3 years the improvement year on year is quite exceptional. If they managed to squeeze another £600k improvement in revenue for the last half and kept development costs down they should have hit profitablty in the second half. That coupled with the recent product launches and customer wins should surely guarantee a great future. Still think they are a steal at this price | flc
26/5/2004 19:59 | Fingers crossed for the next four weeks.....Need some news to get this moving.. | wannabee rich
17/5/2004 08:08 | Spoke to them last week and they confirm mid-year so would say end of June. | flc
16/5/2004 20:53 | Anybody any firm dates on results, normally mid june any ideas? Praying for good news....... all the best Kev. | wannabee rich
04/5/2004 17:28 | It's a fair point or should I say points fft. In essence though aren't we talking about a technology stock here and in particular one thats not massively inflated. A technology stock at this price that's on the verge of profitability (providing they don't go bust in the meantime!) has to be good value. That compounded with the progress they have made over the past 12 months must be a good news story. All IMHO of course and I hope I'm proved right. | flc
04/5/2004 15:21 | no. dunno. dunno. dunno. yes and no. no.yes. no.yes. | kingcnut
04/5/2004 12:32 | Ok, can anyone enlighten me as to how much these contract wins are worth ? For example, the Galliford Try one above ? What kind of initial cost is the software, and then the support/maintenance contract going forward ? How are the margins like on this ? Is Asite Tender tool easily configurable (i.e. margins should be higher as not many changes/setup required before shipping to customer) or is the initial sale a loss leader designed to get the cash in from the support contracts (as Rolls royce do with aero engines). Is the software only going to be usable for that one project, or can it be re-used (thereby prolonging support contracts) ? Will Galliford be hiring any consultants from ASE, or doing it all in house ? Ta | fft |
