Please don’t let these scaremongers with short positions take your shares of your hands after an already 50% retrace. They are so bloody transparent and our deed of title is absolutely rock solid. Enough said.

Also, just to add, IIRC the Beutong production licence took around 3 years to obtain, in the main due to extent of due process, consultation and deliberation by the granting government authorities. Seems to be a some ill informed stuff doing the rounds..

If anyone has bothered to read the Beutong technical report you will see that there is an area of protected forest which hasn't just appeared it's always been there and isn't where we are drilling. Then look at the 36 - yes 36 conditions that had to be met to obtain the production licence and the level of interaction with local government. It's all in the technical report. Then ask why we received the development licence there was no issue, then we drilled Beutong and there was no issue, yet the elections started in September and all of a sudden it's an issue. I would suggest spending the time to read the relevant section within the technical report for Beutong and you can read it for yourself.

if it's of any material consequence to ARS it would have been RNSed.

I don’t have time to thoroughly read up on it right now but there’s an article that’s been translated over on LSE by “megatron̶1;

Suggests a court hearing on 21/11 re permits covering 10k hectares of which 6.5k are protected forestry. Dependent named as PTemm.

Sorry all, please don’t shoot messenger but at a glance it doesn’t read well.

Mrpiggy,

If the directors buy wouldn't make more sense for them to buy in a placing?

Looking forward to seeing the directors buy RNS here showing the market that it's a steal.

tom - think Trump planned it from the off - he has been continually complaining to the Saudi's about 'high' oil prices since the spring.

Let's hope in a year or 2 we will look back at this price as just silly. I do feel for the margin guys but aim needs own cash what you can afford to lose imho. Believe me it still hurts to see really money reduce like it has over the this latest fall. It's made me question my future investing strategy but i for one believe the story is still valid and the broker targets are still sound.. will hold till 2020 and reassess!

MT, I’ve been wondering if Trumps Iranian bait and switch was planned from the off or if he (or his advisors) just saw an opportunity. Nobody seems to have told him that the cure for high prices is high prices. Oil now a fantastic trade, so thanks for that Trumpet.

Margin trading - my son has seen over 30% of his clients all but cleaned out during the last month.

According to market reports from the US a large number of US hedge funds with leveraged positions on the wrong side of Trump's Iranian oil waiver announcement took a serious hammering. The Saudi's and much of Opec were also casualties - after getting hoodwinked into ratcheting up production only to find Trump throw Iranian oil waivers around like confetti. That he then had the nerve to boast on twitter that he was responsible for getting oil prices down must have been like a red rag to a bull to Opec and the Russians.

With the Board's average share option price now some 30% underwater - its comforting to know they have plenty of incentive, considering they have worked for us for next to nothing for the last three years.

Cyber - culprit was whomever put their shares out between 14:47 and 14:58 - strength on the bid must have been weak and it added up to about 1m. I've heard a forced margin call as well - playing with leveraged in a portfolio is a dangerous game - if one stock drops below your credit level you have to either find it or sell across your portfolio to fund it (often losing your shirt in the process)

Mrpiggy, from the conversation here I'm not one of the big players. In my case, all I can do is take what seems like a bucket to me. It's all relative to one's own resources.

Quite possibly AIM was not even invented until decades after Warren Buffett made his comment. I might attempt to re-phrase it as, "If you're on to a good thing, don't mess around with half measures."

Been a gift for more accumulation today with solid technical support at 5.0p - agree with your point cyber. I never trade AIM shares (only invest LT), don’t spreadbet or play cryptos (too addictive and life destroying for many who are leveraged too much). I have been in that situation twice some time back now resulting in complete wipeouts (but finally learnt how to create real wealth through patient investing). No one has taken our copper, zinc or gold! One day someone will want to take it and it won’t be at 5p for sure.

Margin trading at times like this should be renamed MUG trading imho. Don't do it unless you can afford to lose your shirt.
