09/7/2018 10:38 | Mr R - that is exactly what China has been doing over recent months - shorting Copper while buying and importing huge volumes, that have set monthly records greater than anything seen in the last 18 years! Never underestimate the Chinese - they are only interested in one thing - getting the lowest possible price for the commodities they need. Their past and present behaviour suggests no method is too underhand provided it delivers results. | mount teide
09/7/2018 09:41 | And warehouse stocks dropping. Anyone would think the dramatic price fall has been engineered to enable China to buy even more...Let's see what their concentrate imports are like when/if they get published | mr roper
09/7/2018 09:30 | Copper price showing signs of bottoming imo. | horneblower

08/7/2018 13:23 | Just the Indos are paying 3.5bn bucks for a stake in grasberg now. Definitely not a giveaway. | mr roper
08/7/2018 10:51 | I asked TM about that. He said that the shares are NOT just given away. They are transferred at fair market value and that the process should not depress the price when it happened. | horneblower
08/7/2018 10:45 | Where is the document that sets out how the transfer to 51% indigenous ownership after ten years is carried out. Is there a market based valuation mechanism or is it a give away? | sithuk
07/7/2018 08:04 | Not sure about those numbers. A 25ktpa is typically valued at 500m bucks. So approx 300m quid. But if you add beutong at fs. Then it could easily be 600m quid in the right macro environment | mr roper
06/7/2018 22:20 | With 14c per pound of copper when in production, ARS can be valued at £600M now only £100M. | librayang0925

06/7/2018 10:15 | Proactive investor video re copper where it explains the recent decline in copper prices. ARS also get a mention "keep delivering good drill results" "backed by Australia entrepreneurs who have a long history of delivering in the copper sector" "built Oxiana into a billion dollar company" here's the link. [...] | finncairn
06/7/2018 09:25 | Copper, zinc, nickel etc all continue to move lower on reduced world growth worries. Tony Manini called it a "dull spot in commodities currently". This correction period will eventually turn, although imo it will go a bit lower first. Asiamet is not immune to this but is weathering it pretty well so far (cf HZM). Core metallurgy and bfs are events to look forward to but don't expect the share price to react immediately. The investment world is not in a bullish mode with Trump tinkering with world trade patterns and most of the trade watching sport or on holiday. Best strategy is to copy the brokers and go out to play for a month or two. Come back refreshed in September. | horneblower
06/7/2018 09:20 | Amy more good news and we'll go negative! | mr roper

06/7/2018 08:14 | Weeks not months was stated in the AGM a fortnight ago. Could therefore be anytime from the end of next week if AGM pronouncements are to be believed. | amaretto
06/7/2018 08:04 | No, not a game but, like life, it is perhaps advantageous to treat it like one. | horneblower
05/7/2018 23:29 | It most certainly is not a game. | pyglet
05/7/2018 23:18 | rye - "Weeks not months" - that came straight from the horses mouth! | mount teide
05/7/2018 22:50 | When are we expecting the feasibility study to land? Original guidance was H1 2018. | ryry0707
