Hi Charles - not so much reined in in terms of interviews were excellent and followed the drilling updates and have there have been no updates since, save for the one in December on the short column met results that was already overdue, and not really worth of an interview.

I do think however that the company finally now understands that whilst exuberance and enthusiasm are great to see, going that one step further in terms of effectively giving very firm timescales on certain aspects is more detrimental.

All sorts of stuff could be going on in the background - I am more than happy to sit in blissful ignorance and be very pleasantly surprised if something very material and unexpected suddenly lands.

They also now can't come out and give any guidance on Beutong for example, because they've shot their bolt on that one and will just look silly - so that is back in "lands when it lands" territory - could be tomorrow, 2 weeks time or Q2, who knows.

What we do know is that some firm updates should start flowing again as there have now been a number of weeks of 24x7 drilling , with 4 drills running, and no results as yet. I think these will be very interesting and justify the delay in BFS in terms of squeezing more stuff in and therefore getting a better debt / equity deal for shareholders.

There are very strong views around on a prospective bid - I can't see it personally until BFS, Beutong and drilling at the likes of Baroi are all under the belt, so that's likely Q3 - but then that gives the copper price more time to get closer to $4.

I suspect the nomad advised that off the cuff comments were restricted - quite rightly. Comments that 2 or 3 rns' next week and Beutong by end of Nov were not helpful and hindsight clearly shows they were not accurate.

2LB - do you get the feeling that Steve has been reined in since the end of November? We used to get regular snippets from him following drillings and assay news but since then it has been abruptly curtailed. I have a theory or two myself as to why and I believe there are bottlenecks at the assayers which means that when the announcements start again we could be in for a flood of news. The other thing I thought might cause a news blackout is a possible bid for part of the portfolio, but I guess we would have to be told about that wouldn't we?

Company been very quiet since the November interviews, understandably so.

Better quiet than setting fantasy expectations and gifting cash to traders.

May well drift 1p or so as we await solid updates, but they will come as BFS gets closer every day.

Very interested in hearing about the BKM / BKZ link drilling and the bonus copper find underneath BKZ

10% increase in copper price over the PEA level equates to a 23% increase in the NAV according to the Optiva analysis.

That is just one factor that can / will increase the NAV.

Others includes

Improved Met recovery
Increased Mine life
Improved Strip ratio
Expanding zones
Improved grades

If Cu stays above 3.25/lb it more than validates the old PEA and with further enhancement of the project economics to come it should enable even earlier payback

Bad luck to both of us drattuts! Really should be more patient in life at times. I don't think the run has stopped there now either as it really has momentum behind it and the 8th is an important day for them. Anyway, let's hope something similar happens here one day and I will still be holding. Hopefully something from the pending data discussed below will be the trigger:

The BKM Bankable Feasibility Study ('BFS') continues to progress to plan, with concurrent work ongoing in the social and environmental, commercial/financial and technical disciplines. We look forward to reporting the results of the long column leaching and hydrodynamic test-work shortly, along with outputs from the other BFS work streams and our exciting ongoing exploration activities as they come to hand.'



I note the new CFO should have started work now too. Hope he has a good and long career with ARS:

Joined recently from the quiet calm bb pastures of HZM.
I know many on here are aware/ invested in HZM. Quality of the bb here also steady with good unmolested posters.

Welcome Lauders.Plenty of good posters here and external links to the copper space if u scroll back over the last few months.4 months is gonna be close to BFS so u should be looking good. Big licence to drop anytime soon.... plus a host of updates from other suites ARS owns.Good luck
