JD - the one where we have just powered through the 50 day MA and where the MACD signal line has just crossed and for good measure the RSI is still going north at 70. All looking good for further gains towards 7.2p

Chart beginning to look very powerful for a breakout to ATH very soon. Everything falling into place for those who have learnt the biggest returns come to those who are partient for production to commence. We have many baggers to pass through before we get to that $billion valuation so today's price and measley market cap is but a fraction of where we are heading.

Recent gains this year alone have brought forward early retirement for me personally by 3 years. That is the power of ARS and building a significant stake in a great company.

At this rate I could be feet up and no Monday morning stress by Christmas!! Now let's move on to 10p....

My personal opinion is a stakeholder possibly beutong partner is preparing to come in and i would love that to be on an equity or combined debt/equity basis and likely premium given size and they would become a sticky holder. The clues are there imo

Only positive impact Jim

Standard for a listed company to have a rolling authority to issue new shares and for this to be renewed at the AGM

If you have a bit of a rogue BoD then this can be an issue and in certain companies has been voted down.

Without it the company needs to go through an EGM to issue any new shares.

If you trust the directors of a company to act in the best interests of shareholders, as I do with Asiamet, then you want them to have this in their armoury at all times to be able to take advantage of opportunities that may arise - especially as the company goes through the BFS stage.

Don't really want a scenario where TM is offered a blinding premium financing package but then can't take it without the pain in the ARS process on an EGM to approve......

looks to me like that they want to increase the authorized share capital to 1bn shares from the current 760m. Possibly preparation for the allocation of an equity stake to a strategic partner/investor?

Can somebody explain the impact of
to consider and, if thought fit, to approve a resolution increasing the authorized share capital of the Company to US$10,000,000 divided into 1,000,000,000 common shares of US$0.01 par value each?

Rio Tinto believes a copper shortage will emerge this year, as interruptions to supply at three of the world's biggest mines start to take a toll.

The copper industry has long predicted that an over-supply of copper will exist until around 2019 or 2020, but Rio's chief executive of copper and diamonds, Arnaud Soirat, will tell a major copper conference in Chile this week that there will be no over-supply in 2017.

Mr Soirat will tell the conference that low copper prices in recent years have driven discipline across the sector that will soon deliver a shortage.

"In the last 18 months the industry has seen around 700,000 to 800,000 tonnes of price-related cutbacks and as a result forecasts of a market surplus have fallen substantially and we now see the market moving into a small deficit this year," he will say.

Mr Soirat is expected to tell the conference that copper production will plateau in coming years, as declining grades at existing mines overwhelm the small number of new mines coming into operation.

"With continued modest growth in demand, a substantial supply gap may emerge by the beginning of the next decade. This could result in higher prices," he will tell the conference.

"I think there is broad agreement that copper has continued upside ahead."

While Mr Soirat did not dwell on them, interruptions to supply at the Escondida, Grasberg and Las Bambas mines this year will be a major factor in the copper shortage if it does emerge this year.

That's what I am waiting for adorling, the time when ARS is rated as a buy or even strong buy! They must be eager to pile in, but having to wait due to their cautious rules.

TB - It is your decision and your Wife would see a good profit on "her" initial investment. However, we are coming into a rich news period and it would at least be good for her to take 100% profit on half her holding on 5p bid and run the rest for free. However, if ARS is over 10p within 2-3 months then it is human nature she will feel she has missed out of an even bigger gain.

Glad to hear you are holding your shares. The big gains have not really started and we have yet to see our rapid re-rating day and gains of 50-100% and buying by institutional small cap funds. It will surely come if Tony, Peter and Steve keep the good news coming!

You have to ask the question what other aim stock would you put it into that has the potential upside ars has? Perhaps keep it in and diversify with the new cash for some other shares Whats your investment horizon?

Trigger Blade, with so much positive news due now would seem a strange time to sell ARS in my opinion however it's a decision only you can and should make. Do your research and base decisions on that rather than the opinions of anonymous bb posters is the best advice I can give

If you sell , JLP looks very undervalued based on their low cost platinum/ copper tailing projects and the value of their 22 million oz Tjate mining license.
However, I wouldn't sell any Ars as the proper news is just starting + any production license conversion on Beutong carries a copper sales value over LOM of c. $ 10 billion + $2.5 billion for the gold.
With BKM in full production and the Beutong production license, 30-50p isn't out of the question on an 18-24 month timeline

Not looking for advice, but curious to know what others on here think. Here's the scenario.

Mrs Trig has only ever used her ISA allowance for savings accounts and she's also seen my variable attempts to use my ISA allowance profitably with shares, which hasn't encouraged her :-) However, interest rates are so poor and I finally persuaded her to entrust her £15240 this year to my keeping. She wasn't keen and I said I would underwrite any loss at April 5th, I felt sure I could at least turn a profit.

I bought 300,000 ARS at 2.5p, so she's well up on those and has been over double, although my other choices (PANR and LEG) are doing less well. Nevertheless, she's 25% up in total and I'm breathing a sigh of relief because before ARS's resurgence, I was looking at a potential shortfall.

She's asking why I don't sell half the ARS shares to lock in that profit and I can do that if she insists. I'm still convinced this is only the beginning (I have 1.1 million of my own and I'm not selling any).

So, do I resist, or do I sell half and if so, what should I put the money into? I like STY, but that's had a good couple of years.

Any views welcome!

PS She's now trying to decide whether she trusts me with a further £20k for the next tax year and she hasn't yet asked me to underwrite any loss :-)
