07/2/2001 02:23 | Just noticed that with the updated charts that what I have described above is difficult to see with the current ones. | sardine
07/2/2001 02:20 | I am no longer sure that I dare post on this thread anymore, however, here goes. The following is happening night after night. The Aussie and Jap markets open at about the same time. If the Jap market opens above the previous closing price and continues to head north, then the Aussie market does the complete opposite, It opens below and heads south. Moreover, in the first hour of trading their retrospective charts move in the opposite directions. It's happened again tonight. This has been happening night after night and I have no logical solution that I can offer. The Hang Sen seems to be a moderator of these two markets and is the key influence other than the American markets overal effect on how European markets will open in the morning. Just an observation and nothing more. | sardine
06/2/2001 08:26 | Sardine et al - is there another Asian market that you follow? IF so I'll include it's graphs. Cheers Paul. | technet
06/2/2001 01:53 | MadMac: Look it happened again this morning! | sardine
31/1/2001 02:51 | Mad Mac: Where the markets open. The Hand Sen wants watching tonight. | sardine
31/1/2001 01:55 | erm, in what way? | mad mac
30/1/2001 02:02 | Has anyone noticed that the Aussie market does the complete opposite to Japan. | sardine
29/1/2001 01:39 | I think that we on this bb should start getting involved in this part of the world. Is there any interest out there? Did anyone watch the Sky movie tonight on Leeson. Mind blowing! | sardine
19/1/2001 03:07 | It could be rather good tomorrow! Don't neglect the far east guys! | sardine
18/1/2001 01:54 | TTT for you early birds! | sardine
18/1/2001 01:17 | Well tomorrow is starting to look rather good, methinks! | sardine
17/1/2001 08:24 | Sardine, I agree that the Nikkei is a short, but on a 3 month view. Some commentators are talking of 12500 and some even of 10000, as a bottom, while banks and companies unwind their cross-shareholdings. The trouble is that the Japanese are not averse to manipulating the market when it suits them (allegedly). | the wah
17/1/2001 02:10 | Sorry got that well wrong tonight! | sardine
17/1/2001 01:38 | TTT: Surely the Nikkie is a short? | sardine
16/1/2001 12:04 | This thread is now closed! | technet
16/1/2001 08:39 | As you've already probably noticed, I've made this a YEARLY thread instead of a MONTHLY one, due to the small amount of interest in the Asian markets. | technet
16/1/2001 01:26 | Well If I dare start this thread off with telling you what the Japs are doing tonight then I just won't bother as the chart tells the story so far. What does bother me is the same news hit Australia at the same time. I do think that this will read yuck tomorrow in the UK. Honk Kong is the key. Any opinions? | sardine |
