Ashland Inc. Board Declares Regular Quarterly Dividend

COVINGTON, Ky. July 16  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The board of directors of Ashland Inc. (NYSE:ASH) today declared a quarterly cash dividend of 7.5 cents per share on the company's common stock, equivalent to an annual dividend of 30 cents per share.

The dividend is payable Sept. 15, 2009, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Aug. 20, 2009. As of June 30, 2009, there were 74,430,476 shares outstanding.
