Operational update

The Board of Ascent Resources plc, the AIM quoted European oil and gas
exploration and production company, would like to update shareholders on the
progress towards commencing export production from the Petišovci asset to INA
in Croatia.

On 28 September 2017 the Company advised in its interim statement that the
final step in the process was the recertification of the export pipeline by
the Croatian government, and that this was expected to be completed shortly.

While this process has taken longer than expected it has successfully moved
forward through a number of stages between different government departments
and INA.

The final stage is an exchange of signatures between INA and the Croatian
authorities which the Company has been advised to expect within a short
timeframe.

Once this stage has been completed the Company will begin to export gas
production.

Colin Hutchinson, CEO of Ascent, commented:

"All those associated with the project are keen to commence export production
as soon as possible and every effort is being made to make this happen."

Hopefully before Christmas ?

The Administrative Court of Ars has been revoked for the petition gas station after the appeal of the Slovenian E-Forum.

At that time Petrol Geotherm, which was supposed to build a gas station, and in Geoener, claimed that the license was canceled for procedural errors only, and that it would soon again be trying to obtain it.

Since then, almost a year has passed, and the environmental permit has not yet been provided by the Lendava gas giants.

The acquisition of the environmental permit for the gas station remains the primary goal of the project partners of Geoenerg and Ascenta Slovenia, they announced yesterday.

"Only the installation of the latter will enable the supply of gas to the national transmission grid, which will have positive consequences for both the local and the national economy, as we will achieve higher added value in the sale of gas, while increasing the production of natural gas in the north-eastern part of Slovenia will contribute towards greater energy independence of the country. "

However, the recovery of the environmental permit may take place for a long time because of the reason that last year stated in the Slovenian E-Forum: at that time, their president, Gorazd Marinček, said that the cancellation of the environmental permit was not only for formal, procedural reasons, it can be deduced from the decision of the Administrative Court that Arso used the wrong regulation in the decision to issue the license.

In the process of reconsideration, the proper rules will also need to be followed, which also give rise to different conditions and criteria for the issue of an environmental protection permit.

This will not only be a correction of a formal mistake.

Just look at the AST asset value and then examine that crazy Mcap.

The MMs are giving us some money making opportunities, IMO.

It looks like it may go down a little more, maybe.
So just waiting to top up with a few more, as news is now overdue and cannot be far away.
All you need is 'a Eurocrats' patience.
As they say in Ireland, CH has been put on ' the long finger '.

I reckon he should get on a plane, speak to them face to face CH and then broadcast that meeting.

While we wait, just examine those AST GAS UP fundamentals and compare to others on AIM....( Do not forget - AST is debt free ).
